I think we become accustomed to advertising showing products in a light that we will never see in  real life, and we accept it. We know that the thick,, juicy burger we see in the TV ad is going to be some squashed thing wrapped in paper. We know that the car isn't going to look like the sexy thing racing around turns in the mountains. It's going to look like a car sitting on a lot full of cars that look just like it, and will be about as sexy as a washing machine.

...her photos are accurate. I expect some variation but not extreme. Since I began going to Meet & Greets I look for them at the M&G. Then I know if they look like the photos and I don't have to be in the situation of whether to walk or not.

I don't take it on faith. I will check with her recent reviewers to be sure.  Back channel is your friend.

Think of the hooker ad just like every other image selling something and then for the most part, and I am excluding the real frauds, you will not be upset. Because al those guys who get bitchy over hooker ads, possibly do not gt bitchy over the other glossy ads they see when buying other products or services.

Any decent photographer will try to photograph his/her subject in the most flattering light/position. I've been known to suck in my gut for a photo...we all do it.  So I don't mind if the photos are well done.

as has been said here so often, there's a ton of guys who give a provider an 8 just for breathing.  

I try to match her photos to her personality based on her website content, it's wording, and any emails or texts that we share prior to our session. You can only do (and expect) so much. I try to be optimistic, yet also realistic. I have been very fortunate so far that every provider that I have seen has looked very close to her photos, at least in body since most faces were blurred. I'm sure that if I hobby long enough the law of averages will catch up to me and I will eventually meet up with a lady who is nothing at all like her photos. But until then I just take 'em as they come.

I expect a provider's photos to be of that person, and representative of her current appearance.  If she looks now as she looked 5 years ago, go ahead and use 5 year old photos.  But otherwise, please use more recent photos.

But it's not just PMs.  I've got a decent network of reviewers that can be checked via email as well, and I am very rarely disappointed.

Reviews and website but I try not to get too analytical.

Some gals have not changed in years...  look just the same...  so I'm ok with older photos, or mixed in.  BUT gals can change their look very fast under certain circumstances...  in which case she should get new & I grade very HARD on false images.  
I want to see a variety of images, poses & angles so that I know before arrival what she looks like nude...  not necessarily explicit.  It deceptive photos defeat my purpose, I'm going to say so.

But I think that a providers photos should be as recent as possible.  5 year old photos are in my opinion false advertisement.  After all this is a business right, the client is paying for an implied service and what most interests him are the providers looks.  In some cases it is the services advertised, but very rarely do I think someone is willing to drop $300 to $400 just because he will get a bbbj and greek.  It's evident throughout some of these reviews, provider X is absolutely gorgeous but has subpar reviews yet has over 100 plus of them.  So I think photos weigh heavily on that, especially on the better sites.

Photos should be current (no more than a year old)  
and ACCURATELY reflect the way she looks now.
There is nothing worse than old photos that don't accurately represent the way a provider looks.
I get it ... Providers want to use the photos that make them look their best.
BUT you can't hide the 40 lbs. you packed on  
and that missing front tooth makes you look like trailer trash  
-NOT a $300/HR provider.

This is why i chose to have a video done, it shows me in my true form, my pictures do anyway, but i got tired of replying to emails asking if it was really me, or are they recent and do i really have a unicorn growing out of my arse

Of the 75, providers  that I have seen, only 1 had photographs that were not accurate. In fact, that provider was older, shorter and had a different hair color. I still fucked her and had a great time. I later wrote several guys who had seen her to ask whether they had the same experience and none responded.  Some of the photographs of a few of the providers were older but a fair representation nevertheless. I don't just rely on the photographs. I closely read the reviews to see if there are any discrepancies between the photos and actual appearance. If the reviews say they are inaccurate, I won't see the provider.

As long as you look like your photos you are fine. Now I have to go look at your photos ...

most of the time I don't review is due to the marked difference between real life and the ads that attracted me. It's a shame when it happens too because I like to repeat with someone and that first impression is often a major influence.

What do you mean? when you say, "does that mean the women who actually advertise exactly have lots of lbs added" I would think that,"advertise exactly" means accurate photos and description. Take new photos if you lost weight. We can spot bad Photoshoped photos and that just makes us wonder.

 However I have met numerous providers, and I don't think I've met one that is inaccurate in any way. Then again, the ones shaving off tons of weight may not be meeting competition in person? I'd say that's pretty smart.  
   
 Srsly: I've met tons of women and still have yet to be surprised. They're usually surprised when they meet me tho. I guess they were expecting fugly and saw that my face looks like a goddess. Oh well.

I did recently see a photo where the lines in the wall weren't even put back.  

I hobby in Canada and Europe, so I have dealt with both types of photos, blurred and un-blurred. Both are photo shopped, but nowadays its par for the course. And I think as consumers we appreciate the effort put into the perfect shot. I know lots of women/agencies in Montreal that post simple cell phone pics. There is no photoshop, but the production value looks very cheap. Not everyone appreciates that, but I do.

Good philosophy to have. I use to work with a guy who use to say, "lower your expectations and you'll never be disappointed" There was a lot more disappointment prior to TER. I didn't know about Google image search and a lot of the tips I got from seasoned hobbyists about how to spot the fakes, Those were some dark times.

I think what he is trying to say is, he got there and the photos were inaccurate, but he still fucked her lmao.  I laugh, but that is the number one enabler in which providers use IMO.  I guess some figure, said client will show up and realize that I look similar to my photos and choose to stay regardless.  Can't blame them as long as clients continue to allow this behavior to continue.  I could care less about added weight honestly, as long as I know this and can see this before hand, nobody's perfect.  

I want the pics to be a reasonable predictor of who I will meet. Unmet expectations is a real downer.  

50 lbs is a lot. I'd say 10 lbs is probably more realistic. And NO. Men don't automatically add weight. We automatically add years to the reported age because almost all providers fib about their age. 29 means upper 30s 39 means 40s and sometimes 50s. I know of one who is 60, but claims 50. We call it "hooker math

I stated that I had the inaccurate photos problem only once out of 75 providers. DD as usual you are missing the point and your YES Man is even worse. Do you guys actually read, write and comprehend basic English?

Well I use pro pics now and in my older days I used selfies.. It seemed to be more believable for clients that my pictures were real then. But Now I have tattoos, matured some and need my privacy outside of this so I choose to cover up my photos with make up and have the photog make sure my tattoos are barely noticeable if at all.  

So... What you are saying is "FUCK EVERYONE ELSE!"

So having professionals where you are bigger/heavier than current weight will piss people off too. So I'd hate to go through and pay a ton on a new photo shoot, tell them not to photo shop, and then a guy who wants someone heavier and older than me is adding 10+ lbs and ten years to my age.

...I make a point of choosing a photographer that will make what I have to offer naturally show through best. I like to live by the "what you see is what you get" principle; my natural hair is out in full force, my tattoos are visible, and I like to pose in a way that shows I have nothing to hide. I always cringe at the thought of "false advertising", let alone with being accused of it (which has never happened, but still). While I understand that the point of having very well-taken photos is to attract gentlemen, I am mortified by the idea of either of us being disappointed when we meet. If a gentleman does not like what he sees, he moves on and neither of us are worse off for it.

To play to what the "guys see in their head" because we are talking many guys with different views regarding ads, images and beauty. Just be real.

There's something to say about doing your best to look accurate for personal pride. If I put myself as super thin and 20 years old, I'd be pretty embarrassed every time a guy who likes young spinners opens the door and then - oops! It's curvaceous womanly Courtney in her 30's, not VS model fresh out of college lol.

If a woman has 40 pounds Photoshopped off, or if all of the pictures are from 5-10 years earlier when she looked quite different, that would be a problem.

Most women -- say about 60-70% in my experience -- have photos that are completely accurate and recent. We may all be immoral perverts in this world, but most of us have some integrity.  

Even if you feel that you are getting a bit older, most of us on the male side are still probably old enough to be your father.  

If I felt old or lacking in physicality, I'd be over editing my photos right?

I am amazed at how many of the selfie picture feature a bathroom sink. Now I am having problems washing my hands without having some sort of Pavlo dog type reaction, resulting in an instant need to see a 23 yo provider with a side tattoo. I am currently working on a sliding scale of the condition of the counter and type of sink to the performance of the provider.

Mine are of me, and current, and not really edited to much. I was just having a discussion about this with someone recently. He said he was amazed by the fact that a lot of providers look nothing like their photos (even if they are really of them because a lot of providers don't use their own photos), and it bothered him to say the least. He was happy to see that when we met I looked like my photos and thanked me for not over editing them. If you were to pick me for a date no matter how good my photos look it is still the real me who knocks on your door. I just want you to know what your getting before you open the door. It is really up to the individual person in what they are comfortable in showing in their photos (face/no face, full body, real photos/fake photos, heavily edited/no edited much.) You have to be okay with what you see when the door opens or you'll end up having a not so great time, or sending her away...

This is where I think it would be helpful to gather a few buddies across TER with similar tastes to yours. Find the guy who rated your favorites a similar way to you, and make them your friends. Check out the other ladies they've reviewed. To me, this would be essential in getting what you want 99% of the time. A network in a world like this is simply priceless. We ladies certainly have our own networks. It is so much more difficult to reach satisfaction without one!!

how mascara companies use false eyelashes on the models selling their products. Completely false advertising is unacceptable. But I don't think that's what h+t was referring to.
