TER General Board

A question often repeated

Before I post a question about something I usually try to search the boards to see if the question has previously been asked. This got me wondering what the most often asked question is since TER began. The type of question I'm speaking of is the general type, not about some specific provider or place. To give an example, my vote would be questions about STD's and/or the relative risks of this hobby of ours. I know this is not the most exciting topic but I'm having a slow day with nothing better to do!

Maybe Mathesar has some statistics on this.

I have been moderator since the inception of this board, and questions about the danger of catching an STD from a BJ seem to be the most often asked ones.

Good question, BadBoy.  I wonder what the next most commonly-asked questions have been.

BTW, when the discussion software was replaced a year and a half ago, we lost over a year's worth of the archives (boo-hoo--so much good stuff and history lost), so we cannot search the entire history of the boards.

That's too bad about losing all those posts. Sometimes it's enlightening to search back into old posts. There is a wealth of information here as well as some good fun. It would possibly make good fodder for a book about this hobby.

Yep -- that appears all the time.  And the question always spawns the same camps of people:

1. Those that think you cannot be *too* safe,

2. those that realize they are taking a risk, but figure that it is worth it (for one reason or other).

Of course, you always get the arguments within an argument.  Often, people equate STD risk with HIV risk, thinking that nothing else really matters that much.  Since the original question is pretty generic, it is often difficult to ascertain if the person asking it is worried about STDs in general, or wants some sort of severity score assigned to each one.

Yep, that is what I am looking for. Some type or risk score associated with BlowJob uncovered for the hobbyist.  WHat type of STD is he most at risk for in order of ranking. Same with Daty? Anyway to get these stats and post them in a seperate area on TER for information so the answers are in one place.  I know we have heard to look on the internet but it is information overload often described in the most mundane clincal terms...
