TER General Board

Why do new clients ask the same question over and over again?

Many providers like myself have worked hard on their websites so that potential clients can easily have a look and see my rates, pictures, disclaimers and answers to frequently asked questions. Yet, I still receive the same questions again and again. "What are your rates? Send me pics. Do you ask for a higher rate for couples? " etc. I usually don't have this issue with clients who have found me through TER but clients who have seen me on other sites that I advertise on I seem to get it a lot. All of my info is clearly there so I don't know if I am just getting people who are lazy or what. I would like to attract client's who take the time to do more than look at my pics and immediately message me questions that are clearly in front of their face in bold. Do any other provider's run into this issue as often as I do?

And you must be drunk if you think complaining about it here will accomplish anything.  Most of the guys who read this board know how to play the game.  But our world is full of idiots who are too stupid, lazy or otherwise fucked up to do the simplest things.
I suggest you save yourself some angst by simply ignoring such guys and move on.

Wow, lol, well aren't you just a doll. Thanks for the polite advice. Happy Holidays ya big sweet talker.

Ignore JanetfromStateFarm. He is the first fat old angry troll to jump on a thread and shit on it. I'm not sure why he is still allowed to post He is a post/board killer. He did that to my first thread - and his post was deleted. My thread then went on to have over 3,000 views once his negativity was removed.

The answer to OP's question is because people digest information in different ways. That is why education is done in several parts; visual (white board), action (home work), and repetition/recitation (repeating what has been taught). Thus, some people just don't have the patience or aptitude to digest information by reading a website. Then there is always some are just lazy, feed me the information by hand.

Get in line.  But you'll need to improve your game first.  "Janet" is a rather lame attempt and not worthy of an acceptable stalker..  Though it's one I'd expect from anyone calling himself "Tippecanoe,"
Are you aware that "Old Tippecanoe" was our shortest-serving President, dying after only a month in office? How long have you been here?
PS: I should note that Layla herself handled my comment just fine, as did herb.  You? Not so much.

You have a tremendous grasp of the obvious.

of your own dick.  And little else. Now, please listen to Mr. Goodbar.

I've met Jake and he is NOT fat.

An angry old troll, perhaps, but he is NOT fat!

So there!

You're still not a lawyer!

the Snipe hunt.  I'm reading back up the thread to find where Fisher said he was a lawyer to put your post in context.

I would LOVE to meet Jake!!! Tell me how it went.... In detail.....   :)

Xoxo

Is he really "old"???? I will be so sad to find out he is more than.... say......45.....  :(

I understand how frustrating that can be.  I think customers of any business are like this.
.
Yes, there's lots of info on your site, and yes you ask for the same best practices as most providers (envelope with the donation in plain sight, take a shower and use mouthwash, etc.), but most consumers are too lazy to actually research the product or service they want.  That's why fast food restaurant menus are 90% pictures and 10% text. Point and eat.
.
Long ago, I worked at a photocopy store. There was a huge price board high the wall behind the counter that laid out every price for every service offered. There was even a 6-foot message painted on the largest window in the storefront that said" "Copies 5-cents ea." You could not enter the store without passing in front of that sign.
.
The most frequent question asked by a customer:  "How much for a copy?"
.
So imagine most horny guys, sitting in their cars scrolling through dozens of escort ads on their tiny phones. They see your hot pic and nearby locale and insta-text you... "How much for an hour? Do you have any lingerie? Can I bring my basset hound and a gallon of Velveeta?" (Ok the dog & cheese thing is probably not asked very often... :p
.
Now you might be tempted to put some type of mechanism on your site that will only let a client contact you AFTER they have seen all the important info. Something like a "click here to get my text number" box by the rate chart. Well, in the world of search optimization and customer conversion rates, that's a great way to make sure no one ever contacts you. It won't make your clients less lazy. It will motivate them to find another ad with a phone number in a large font, at the top of the ad.  After all, that's the most important piece of info you want the client to get - how to contact you. The rest, like rates, rules, preferences, specials, etc. is all nice to have, but not critical to your business. Right?

Jake in a really good mood.  This IS an example of his softer side.  Lol

That he's not as young as a few years ago, so he probably has the same problem I have in getting that third pop out in a one-hour session.

Thank you for the more informative and less harsh "I'm out of Xanax" response. No, I don't want to stray people away from contacting me by making it more difficult to reach me. I understand that a lot of clients are reaching out to multiple ladies and might have forgot who is responding.

Just don't mix the two or you could go from charming venom spitter to drooling dead guy. And nobody wants that.

I worked for several years in your customer service type jobs. Vast majority of the people are decent people, but there is always a few who just cannot master basic reasoning. Unfortunately these days we are being deluged with more and more poorly educated people incapable of reading and thinking. I read every service provider's website thoroughly and know the price when I make a date. If I were to make a dinner date with a service provider, I would probably ask if she had any food allergies or preferences. What drives me crazy is the service providers who do not post rates.

I think their bored ,and want to carry on co conversation, And    just want to play games.. 🤡

..... I get so amped up in the excitement , I forget the last thing I read. My brain chemistry goes haywire in the excitement. I have to go back, over and over again to the information.

Don't know if that is what happens to anyone else, but that's just me.

... despite the references to couples (which is awesome, btw). It was on your P411 profile that i saw that you are truly girl friendly. Had I not been a TER and/or a P411 member, I would have pinged you to clarify.

I love that you're here in LA. I'd love to book you someday :)

You flew all the way to Atlanta to see someone. LA is a lot closer to you. ;)

You are correct perfectstorm. You've got your Gotcha moment, lol!

Yes, I am very girl friendly ;) I will have to update that, thanks for the heads up! xoxo

You say it does not happen often from those who find you through TER, so why complain here?

Stop advertising in the places that seem to engender this type of response or consider it part of the screening from those sites.

Not advertising or trying to complain just asking a question that I have been wondering for a while, thought it would spark a conversation not get anyone's jock straps in a bunch.

I would think anybody contacting me was a potential sale and would be glad to try to close the deal.  Unless, of course, you have so much business you are turning it away.

Every lady I have ever talked to about this topic (time wasters, newbies, dumb asses, etc) has a similar story. "We're buried" was the way one lady described it, with e-mail, PMs, etc. I don't know what the percentage is of queries/questions, on average, to actual clients seen, but it can't be that high. Part of the job unfortunately, of course you can always factor that time in to your rates  ( - :

MfSD>>>>

The ratio of inquiries to actual clients is absolutely staggering. I think that's what guys don't understand. For every 1 actual client, I would guesstimate I field a minimum of 100 inquiries. Seriously....I'm not exaggerating. And that's not 100 messages, that's 100 people repeatedly asking me:

"What are your rates?"... Me: "It's on my site"
"What area are you in?"... Me: "It's on my site"
"What services do you provide? ... "Me: "It's on my site"
"Can you send me a pic?"... Me: "It's on my site"

So even just 4 questions per inquiry would add up to 400 messages. It's mind boggling. And it's frustrating when guys think we're ignoring them when we literally are being flooded with so many messages that's its nearly impossible to keep up with.

Don't get me wrong... I'm grateful for the interest I receive, but I'm really considering getting an assistant this year so I can focus on my appointments rather trying to reply to the endless messages.

Its just human nature. People gather information in different forms and different ways. An old term is "tire kickers" for people buying cars, and just looking - not buying. Kicking the tires does nothing, its a freaking tire.

Those kinds of people are in all markets. Just looking, wasting people's time, and just being annoying as fuck. Its like the people who order at McDonalds and sit and look at the menu for fucking an hour. Its McDonalds you shit head, pick a number and size - how hard can it be. Its not like you weren't standing in line for five minutes and couldn't choose before hand.

Many times there is one set of rates on TER, another set on website, another set on the ad, etc.... so do I pick the lowest rate, put that in the envelope and hope it's right.  Or pick the highest rate and hope I don't feel ripped off, or pick something in the middle.  It's a business transaction.... when I'm at a store and pricing is confusing, I get a price check before I go to the register

"I usually don't have this issue with clients who have found me through TER but clients who have seen me on other sites that I advertise on I seem to get it a lot"

You don't have the issue with TER but other sites and you ask the question on TEER!!!!!!

Dude, relax. Put down the explanation points, everything is gonna be ok. I was just asking other providers if they experience the same thing from new clients, because believe it or not, providers do advertise outside of TER so I thought some input from them and how they handle would be beneficial and also what clients had to say (ya know, the nice ones). Not that you deserve this long explanation but just wanted to clear that up before someone else gives me another “how daaaare you!!!”

is where have you been all my life and will you sit on my face!

Forgive me if those are also answered on your website. Your pics just blew my mind.

I wonder how many man-hours went into typing this thread?

Merry Christmas to all!!!!

I get it almost everyday and it drives me bananas. I have to redirect them to my site and sometimes they continue asking questions. We as well take a lot of time to put together the websites and it isn't cheap and clients just rush right to calling or texting asking the same questions. What are your rates, where are your pictures and so on. I even have people ask me if I am even a real person. Clearly I am real as my reviews state what some of my past experiences are with clients that have wrote reviews. I don't get it. I do know as I have been reading that this a very impulse decision so they probably are not evening reading and just looking at pictures then make the call. I don't understand. It takes a few minutes to go over the site. So I am in the same boat as you.

Its frustrate to say least.

Over years I have read and experience this issue over and over as have many providers. It is not just here in US, but all over Asia as well.

I have very simple solution. If I get contact that information is clearly on my website, i simply ignore them. If I get a cut paste inquiry, i simply ignore it. If I get dumbass contact i simply ignore it. Every Ad I have no matter where or when gives my website for more information. If potential client has good question, then I think I should have explain better on my website and I go back edit my website.

I am easy simple provider, but even I have limitations of time to waste. I am sure that I may miss opportunity because client is real but question is stupid, that is life.

Clients are driven visually as has been asked and answer many times here and other places. That is still no excuse skip all effort a provider has taken to try make sure all information they need is available. Perhaps client feels they are special and has a right to ask same thing already on website. If so, thats good for them.

I accept constructive questions to make sure I supply clear information. I don't accept constructive stupid. I try to nicely guide stupid back to my website. Or is very stupid then just ignore.

Just my opinion

Christine

I don't  accept  constructive stupid.  Well said.  Along with  your post in general.  Maybe they will bump your post  to head of line.

I do NOT screen hard and still get this!! Guys, we are going to screen you for our safety!!  Get over it!!

It doesn't really matter how hard and for how long you worked on your website.

It is matter how well you present your information. Id the user/visitor getting the information they are looking for easily? Is it simple to understand? How many layers deep is the relevant information is?

I have seen some fancy web sites that will make a Star Wars and an Avatar websites to shame but could not find basic information. Keep in mind, Johns are not going to go through layers and layers of information or sit their and wait for your Flash rich website to load.

Don't assume people are accessing your web sites in optimal conditions either. I know web developers put all that stuff and you were enamored by all the technology. Unless you are demonstrating technology to sell, it is all waste for selling pussy.

souls_harbor36 reads

Amen to that.  Drudge Report (politics aside) is one of the simplest web page designs possible and has been one of the most visited web sites ever, for most of two decades now.

You really should be able to fit your bio, "rules" and rates and at least one picture on your main page, then a link to other pictures and reviews.

The "standard" escort web site is really more complicated than it needs to be.

One of my complaints AND pieces of advice. Many of use proxies, filters, and other security software to protect not just our surfing experience but our POST-surfing experience.  No cookies, no tracking, no location; some proxies block flash and scripts.  Huge image files can slow and even freeze a connection, usually just as someone walks into the room and we have no choice but the crash (force quit) the computer "by accident".
.
Providers and their webmasters should test their websites using TOR.  And since different TOR circuits and gateways have different settings, they should test multiple random TOR settings.

I JUST had this happen with me when someone wanted to book and I requested my screening info. They said "they do not do that." Um, what? Did you look at my website????

 "No."

 Sorry, no Scarlet for you!!!

xoxo

First I agree that getting asked the same stupid questions is likely to occur in any service industry.  I’m a lawyer and literally have clients or family members of clients ask me the same questions multiple times in a half hour.  Some people who do it are fine and just want reassurance if I am telling them what they want to hear, others are not that bright, and many are just assholes.  I think in your profession and because of the internet, even more people feel emboldened to be jerks.  One way to deal with is to focus on the all the people who are nice, and try to ignore the idiots.  20% of everybody in everything are annoying. Remember the good ones.  Hope you have a great New Year

Ah yes, the 80/20 rule. Applies to everything in life.  ;)

It is amazing to me that some folks here complain about the people they call "customers".  If a client hasn't violated one of your rules or boundaries, then you should cut them some slack.  And I believe having a minimum IQ score isn't high on your criteria for screening clients.

I am a business owner and I see all types of people.  I can tell you that some of my best customers (i.e., Highest paying) are short-tempered, dull, or a bit slow.  None of these attributes have anything to do with their ability to pay for my products and services. If they repeat often enough, they become VIP (Sound familiar?). All I am saying, is that I learned to give people a chance.  I am in business to make money and that means I must take customer service seriously.

Anyway, I believe my point will be lost on many, but I love meeting ladies that "get it".  You go get it girl, if you are about business and financial independence.

I'm not sure what kind of business owner you are, but I'm assuming the time you spend with your clients and the kind of time I spend with mine are quite different. I'm not saying you need to be a rocket scientist to see me, but it's appreciated when someone does take the time to look at my site. I don't scold people who reach out to me and ask questions, but when I refer them to my website and they still ask me the same questions, then I can tell this is someone I am probably not going to connect with. If connecting with people wasn't important to me and I was just about the "business" side of things,  I would just meet with anyone who was willing to offer me any amount of money, no matter how ignorant or how big of an asshole they were and that could get pretty depressing. My sanity and well being mean more to me than any dollar amount, hence why I am so selective of who I meet.

Sox.B4.Shoes43 reads

Get a dog, if you want a unconditional love.
I don't know anything about you, but I can guess I am more educated and make more money than you. So by your criteria I, and every man like me, shouldn't see you.  That elitist mindset swings both ways you see.  Anyway, I don't care who you see or don't see, just don't come here whining about it. Yes, you come off like the A-Hole you hope to avoid.

Lol, yes, between your response and my response I definitely come off as the uneducated asshole and you come off as the money making genius.

BTW.  I just looked at your web-site (read your profile for all of 2 minutes) and your pictures are freakin hot!!  Wow! More TNA cuz we love it.  Keep up the good work and Happy New Year!
what are your rates..LOL

...in your inquiry. I've been in sales/customer service/retail ops since 1969 (thus the handle) and have had hundreds of thousands of interactions with people who MIGHT become customers IF I can meet or exceed their needs.

One of the lessons I learned in 8th grade Speech & Debate class was (1) tell them what you're going to tell them; (2) tell them; and (3) tell them what you've just told them. Be clear in your message, stay on point and reiterate as necessary -- and believe me, it will be necessary.

Yes, be torqued at a particularly difficult client -- AFTER the deal is made and they have left the premises. Have a refreshing adult beverage, commiserate with an understanding friend but DON'T carry that frustration over into your ability to interact successfully with potential clients. Otherwise, they won't become ACTUAL clients.

If sales (and I don't mean "order taking) was easy, anybody could do it. You're running a sole ownership business and if you don't get the customer "in the door," business will be insufficient to meet your needs.

I have had a couple of different careers in my lifetime and I have learned one thing. People don’t believe information that is written. Proposals and product information are rarely believed.  Verbal explanations are always required.

You are in sales and your customers need confirmation and what it is that they are purchasing. My opinion is that if you will continue to have to confirm your guidelines until you are no longer in this business. Good luck with your business in 2018!

Yes, sales people are there to help in the selection of goods/products/services to meet (or exceed) the needs and/or expectations of the client. Part of that process is helping to connect them with the options on the table and how well those options might meet (or exceed) their wants/needs.

Also part of the process is an HONEST validation of their choice and this is particularly applicable in the p4p arena. If your options don't meet (or exceed their wants/needs), then someone will be unhappy and there won't be a good transaction and no return business.

The best outcome is a mutual understanding, a back-and-forth communication that results in a meeting of the minds and a finalization that leaves both parties in a mutually beneficial state. That's the reason sales people are involved in the sales transaction -- many believe that you can simply WRITE OUT a proposal or post a list of criteria on a website and have customers simply follow procedures to spend their hard-earned money.

The sales person needs to reaffirm what the terms are, what the feature & benefits are of the goods/products/services on offer and how well all of that fits the wants/needs of the client -- and do it in a friendly and cheerful manner that puts the client at ease an facilitates the entire process.

It's not easy and it's not for everybody.

I have found it to either be laziness, or they contacted a ton of girls and weren't very organized about it so they have to figure out which one you are. I usually give a second chance and send a link to my website with the info they are looking for on it. Many times us ladies are doing 50 other things and don't always have time to type out the info we already have made available. Or I send a screenshot of the info on my site to make it easier in case they have things going on as well.

If you use multiple advertising venues you will pick up on the characteristics of the type of responses that you attract. If you advertise with established online services everyone who browses the ads there know what is expected of them. They know that they need to go to your website for pics, rates, and additional info or to get to know you. If you advertise with those "feed" type sites that rip your ads from other sites and re-post them such as "erotic monkey, escort cafe, etc," you will get the "I want to play but don't know how to" crowd and the "Available now? How much? Pics? I want BBJ" responses.

Providers often have no consistency between ads and profiles. Many providers don’t fill out the ad profiles completely, leaving one to wonder. If a guy finds you on P411 and reads about you there, sees your photos there, then goes to TER to see your reviews, he may never go to your website.

I often see different rates listed on different ads, or the providers website is very detailed and up to date, but P411 is hardly filled out. I recently had to ask a provider if she offered incall? Her P411 profile was not filled out and that wasn’t clear. She assumed I would know she had an incall because she was traveling. I didn’t pick up on that since she had a p411 profile in my city for 2 months and “visiting” wasn’t on the top of the ad. You may be assuming that men are going to your website. The provider I just mentioned assumed that all men read her TER reviews and would obtain all the info there and put little emphasis on ad profiles or a website. There is no consistency in how providers market themselves or how Johns research a provider.

Even guys that write reviews often exaggerate about their encounter and in some cases say services were offered that the provider doesn’t offer which ads confusion. I agree with Farm that the guys on these boards know how to play the game and can navigate this shit and get what we want with little turbulence, but there are a lot of noobs who just don’t know any better, and older guys with limited computer skills who can barely use their smartphones, or laptops and straight up, lazy people that won’t do the work and properly research, then write bad reviews saying the girl was fat when her height and weight were clearly listed on the ad. LOL you gotta laugh at it

This is not unique to providing. People ate impatient, they want what they want now. They want to take the shortest reasonable path (to them) to any goal. Any distractions are clearly for other people, not them. While there is a very small chance that the issue is how providers present themselves in their advertising, the widespread nature of the problem suggests it has to do with human behavior. And that is likely unfixable. Best thing is to simply accept that this is how it is in the real world, deal with it and move on.
