You should never just leave the donation/gift around. You should always hand it directly to the person. WHY?
It shows who is the boss and who is in control. When you physically hand something to someone and someone accepts it, the person accepting unconsciously know where there place is. This is almost like instinct, that the person accepting know their sub-servant role.
Same way if you are a boss of a company, you must hand the check to your co-workers so they know who they are working for and who is feeding them. It creates dominance and show the accept-tee who is in charge and who is in control.
