So I am really curious about everyone's thoughts on the usage of twitter and how it's affecting this lifestyle I won't use the word "hobby" because that might offend someone.... anyhow my question is do you think twitter hurts or helps? I can tell you from my side I think it helps me and hurts the ladies because I personally have marked ALOT of ladies off my must see list purely based upon their ridiculous posts and demands. One post after another and they all pile on with the likes or agreed or preach comment ... better yet the political view posts ... then there are the who will buy me this pay for my trip fly me to you send a deposit post ....that will make my day comment.

Just curious on others thoughts .... ready set GO!

but also hurt a lot.

Hardly a day passes that some news items notes someone being fired for something they said on SM.

I can't recall any specific tales from the hobby, but as you pointed out, you got turned off by some gal's prattle.

My advice is to avoid SM, not that it will be heeded.    It's invidiously addictive.

Of course I'm old, so for finding providers and making contact, I prefer the methods I'm familiar with ... postcard, telegraph, carrier pigeon ... plus I'm not a high-budget monger, and it seems to me that the ladies who use Twitter tend to be a little toward the high end of my range. I haven't had the experience of being turned off by a provider's tweets, though. If anything, if I'm interested in a lady already, sometimes the more personal day-to-day stuff they post on Twitter, not to mention the pictures, gets me even more interested.

I just post pics on my twitter !

I do the same as well and promote myself more on Twitter. But I can agree with what that person has said as I am friends with some providers and there posts can be a bit off the wall.

but I don't use it for rants, politics or drama. I use it to share pictures and my travel schedule. I have had several clients discover and book me via my Twitter page. I think it can help or hurt you, it just depends on how mindful you are when posting.

Twitter is very interesting... today for example a big bust on the west coast was all over twitter ... Thier also seems to be a huge anti TER sentiment on Twitter anyone know why? Lots of chatter about delisting etc.. most seems to be west coast providors

Spoke to a young lady and she gave me her point of view about networking with other providors and marketing... all of which made sense.... it's the negativity about consumers that I am trying to understand . First time I heard of "slob-e-ist" was on twitter

A good number of people don't fit in here.  Some don't make the cut, some get kicked out for being obnoxious, deceptive, and/or other reasons.

Any other place these people can get together they will naturally be anti-TER to try and feel better about themselves.

I don't use twitter and don't know much about it except what's in the news...which is mostly to Trump related.

Twitter is an entirely different hustle, in fact I wouldn't even call it hooking, more like running a longer con. The most effective ones are using it to extract maximum compensation with a minimum of effort via wishlists, gofundme, paid Snapchat and the like. Not to mention pathetic, supplicating johns as well as uninformed newbie clients seem to congregate there. There's a very robust population of easy marks there, hard not to love that if you're a hooker.

That's the best description of Twitter I've seen. Drooling sissified tricks and newbies who will kiss hooker ass at every opportunity are on Twitter. If I were to open up a Twitter account they would block me in a hurry.

It's the perfect set-up for lazy conniving whores. On a public forum like TER they have to take criticism. On Twitter they can simply block out all critical thinking and make themselves out to be perfect.

Given all the Millennials who lack real life social skills it's not surprising they found a market of easy marks on social media.

I've met some of the greatest gents via twitter, it seems that they care about the woman, they like girls with personalities and opinions. I've been political, and I've also refused to see someone from there because of his political postings too. The men open to Twitter want to hear what providers like and dislike, they like those daily selfies, and interaction.

If you read any of the boards here you get a general feeling that this place isn't that all provider friendly or respectful towards providers. Your post alone even shows your lack of respect for providers as having such opinions or grievances about men out there.  Your lack of understanding that this is a very personal service we providers provide and that we are human with strong opinions.

Remember a provider is screening too on who she wants to see or not see via twitter, if her rants are driving you to not see her maybe she wants it that way, if she doesn't she would change just for you or men like you.

just in case, @KirstenO77

started to use twitter, I'm not sure if its a very great marketing tool o rip i just don't have a big enough following.
hmmm ill still give it a shot. follow me :)

Twitter is the Cheez Whiz of social discourse.

Twitter is great!  Pretty much the only way I've connected with (new) providers for the past two years.

I have reviews, I have a site, let's have fun.... what else is really needed? I get there are some benefits, I guess, but I'm good with saving all that energy towards the bedroom. Not to mention, I have done pretty well without it. I do have a busy life outside this little world too lol
To each their own as well. I'm sure it works well for some or it wouldn't be so popular.
XOXO

I don't give a flying fuck if anyone is offended by the word. As for Twitter, I love it. It's steered me clear of a few BSC hookers who were on my list, and conversely, it's turned me on to some wonderful ladies who I might not otherwise have considered. Used in tandem with TER,  it's a wonderful tool. Plus, there are a lot of links to good porn.

P411.  Some of my best clients ate via twitter.  A god send from other sites. And a great place to network with other ladies.

I use twitter a lot.. more than any other platform. Pictures, videos, funny comments, networking, pictures not posted on my website or ads.
There's some drama around, best thing to do is to stay away from it or (yes, the mute bottom works wonders!), I also unfollowed many girls that
1. are way too much into drama
2. I dont trust

As far as clients, I have meet wonderful gentleman, I have received wonderful gifts, and also is another way to market my onlyfans link. (where I post pictures that are not in other places nor twitter) for a monthly fee.

Positive
Twitter works for marketing
Twitter is another avenue to filter out people you won't gel with
Twitter is great for networking with the community for providors and clients alike
Better realtime interaction then any other platform
Fast "fire alarm" for issues happening in the community realtime

Negative
Negitivity about TER and clients is Rampant
Thier is no moderation, Check and balances don't exist  you can bascilly smear people unchecked
Gimme gimme side hustles are really prevelant but easily ignored
Providers seem happy to ridicule and post private correspondence on that media ... see no check an balance .. this could turn into a real issue for the community as a whole

So bottomline
Caveat Emptor

I look at Twatter on occasion. One gal I saw 4-5X in her first 6 months went off after the election and stated anyone who voted or thought unlike her was unwelcome in her "world." I took her at her word only to be confused when she solicited me several months later wondering where I'd been. She was shocked when I told her why she'd not heard from me.

I've also noticed the last few days a former TER queen, who exited here in a pique of rage over a review, give a shout out to a client including pics of the house in the Hamptons where she spent last weekend (allegedly), the helo she flew in and out on (allegedly), as well pics from the NYY game the next eve where, in real time, she posted pics of the suite they were in clearly ID'ing it,  among other things. I'd ask "what is she thinking?" but clearly she's not. I wonder how much her client appreciated her display of their time together? My guess is if he were aware of it he'd not be impressed. I'd wager today as well she'll be posting pics of all the lavish gifts he's lavished on her in gratitude for allowing him to spend time with her albeit for the most reasonable rate of  $1300 an hour.

Twatter is an excellent tool for guys. Helped me "weed out" not only this gal but one other in this thread who was/is well known for her Twatter meltdowns. Love Twatter. It's like a newspaper one uses to crush roaches.

to get better acquainted with women you see or might like to see. It's also a way to stay in touch with those ladies you like but do not see all the time.

I think it is overall a help for both guys and gals. For guys, it can help us to rule in or rule out seeing a lady we might be interested in. For the gals, it's a way to attract the guys they are most interested in seeing and repel the ones they'd prefer not to see.

Used in combination with TER, Twitter is a win. I don't see Twitter ever replacing TER and reviews... they just complement one another.

There can be some drama and complaints about clients, and yes even an account or two that spews hate about TER. So what? All of that can be ignored easily.

Twitter is what you make of it, nothing more and nothing less.

Master Zen, just wondering to you tend to extrapolate certain things regarding her personality and the potential or a propensity for certain things about a woman through her writing and responses through twitter? Also in combination with twitter could you also get a good gauge of compatibility or lack of compatibility through things she might say or how she would say it as well as the information that you would extrapolate from reviews? Finally if you read certain things on twitter, would they usually tend to be confirmed with reviews and ultimately in person when you see her?

as to personality and a general outlook on life and this demimonde.  I don't see reviews reflecting anything like that.

In that sense, yes, I think it lends itself to finding greater compatibility.

I can say that twitter has increased my desire to meet certain women, and has caused me to rule out meeting others.

No doubt a few women would choose not to meet me based upon my twitter presence as well.

"Getting acquainted" is one of the things escorts hate. They'll identify you as a time waster if you engage in prolonged banter. They consider it work and, by God, you should be sending stuff off their gift list (reasonable to ridiculous), or set up a date. Don't DM them for chit chat. It's for business. All business which is alright if you realize they're chatting with you as a prospect.

The thing about banter, it's all about delivery and timing. And why would you draw out bantering?
Random chit chat is fine, showing general interest especially if you are local or common toured area is okay.
But dming me everyday is not, nor is long winded pointless conversation or essentially asking me to do x for your sexual appeasement... Well that's where the wish list comes in.

I've gotten some of my best clients from it.  It's a way to get your name out there nationally and attract clients who are more suited for you.  It has done a lot more for me than any other advertising platform.  If people are put off by what I say I wouldn't want them to be a client anyways.

I like twitter it took a lot of convincing to get me to join at first.
I have only had a profile on twitter for a few months now.
I really like reading postings from other providers as well as the gents who have profiles there.

Many times you can see photos and/or videos that are not posted on a provider's website.I post selfies and some professional photos on twitter first.
It is a way to interact with fellow providers from all over the US and other countries as well as potential or current clients.
I don't get into debates regarding politics and other controversial topics.I keep my twitter page light and have fun.
But I have read some tweets from providers that really make me shake my head...lol
I have had quite a few dates from gents who found me on twitter.

I think Twitter and other Social Media help both Hobbyists and their Providers.

I personally use it as a marketing tool and a way to express my opinion.  Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. all have their same protocols.  If you are new to this medium, my suggestion is to sign-up, sit and watch.  I agree with you that I don't like to hear everyone's political opinions or vulgar thoughts, but sometimes that helps me to understand what I don't want.

That said, I'd say that most people I know on Twitter I have private conversations with or just handle with email.   I think Twitter is a way to "Broadcast" what you are thinking about and want people to see.  If you are a private person, I would just sit back and follow your "Favorite Columnists" just like you would follow a daily paper.

"Facebook has mapped populations in 23 countries as it explores satellites to expand internet."

"Facebook doesn't only know what its 2 billion users "Like."
It now knows where millions of humans live, everywhere on Earth, to within 15 feet.
The company has created a data map of the human population by combining government census numbers with information it's obtained from space satellites, according to Janna Lewis, Facebook's head of strategic innovation partnerships and sourcing."
.
Good luck trying to protect your privacy.

I personally like it a lot. I've made contact or friends with several I may not have ever thought about seeing or even existed. Looking well beyond my State, etc..., because I found or interacted with some on that platform.  For those who say people Complain or other things there, people do the same here. To me I do get a better feel for personality through Twitter and possible compatibility, so you use both TER and Twitter, or what have you, to gauge or find interest in someone.

It is another tool, none which can replace the one on one meetings, but it helps get there, just like here.

if you don't mind showing your face. TER purists miss  the mark if they think it's meant to be similar in any way.

It allows SWs to be more interactive than on TER. There's no judgment, no badgering, no insinuations and no train wrecks.

More contemporaneous, it's what a lot of people on this board clamor for, as well as seeing current or recent pics.

A great tool for meeting women who are out of town if you travel.

IT'S NOT IN COMPETITION WITH TER

You're right, some of those posts can be ridiculous. But as someone who has utilized twitter for the last 4 years, I do understand the necessity of posting multiple posts. If you're new to twitter and aren't following hundreds of people yet, you will see lots of posts from the same person in your feed. Like other social media platforms such as Tumblr and Instagram, Twitter doesn't reach its full potential until you've followed a lot of people.

Personally I have used Twitter for networking in the porn industry (like asking performers and directors if they'd like to work with me), but mostly I use it as a tool for uploading more of my personal photos and nudes. Instagram won't allow nudes, but twitter does, and many sex workers want to take advantage of that. I absolutely do post about politics because my personal decision to be a sex worker was based in political ideology. If people don't like my political views, that's ok. They don't have to see me. But many of my clients hold similar political views, so I consider it an effectual screening tool.

Found my ATF on there and found another woman whom I had 2 good appointments with on there as well.

I wish all ladies used it. For me, the best use is the women that post candids and frequently update their availability on twitter.

As others have said, it really helps to get a better feel of personalities and whether I would mesh well with them.

Recently I booked a repeat session with one provider in which she wore a Wonder Woman outfit that i saw she owned from her twitter. It was an amazing sight and I have Twitter to thank for the idea.

So many great clients there and I've met amazing providers as well who are like family to me know. I love posting daily naughty photos and videos and I do keep it very real as well. I show my personality and views so I can deter those who won't be compatible with me. And those who appreciate my feisty attitude book with me and are very happy 😊

But on the flip side I've seen many providers get sloppy on there and im sure it may be ruining business.

*you'd * rather not see women who have opinions. Which is fine. That's your taste, but that's not everyone's taste.

On Twitter I have posted about politics, and on my blog I have written about books I have been reading etc - and I have had clients come to me who were reading both and wanted to have conversations with me on those topics. I can talk all about having a college degree but I use those two avenues to *show* that I have a college degree. On that note, both of those avenues have been useful to me.

These are niche services. Not all companions are for all clients, and vice versa. A companion that may have lost  *your* business got business from elsewhere. What works for *you* doesn't work for someone else.

Less time on any "device" makes me a happier camper. I tried it, but deff not for me. Who has all day to post shit about themselves is beyond me lol, marketing or not. I don't need to share with everyone what I'm doing, where and when. If they want to know that, be a part of my life on a daily basis like how it "used" to be before everyone hid behind a screen of some kind. Hate this new techy age...call me old-fashioned. But I like looking into eyes much better. You still can't learn about someone via twit twat or any of those platforms any better than in person. That's still the "only" way IMO. Whatever works for you I guess.

I think Twitter is a great tool to promote one's brand. I also think that at the same time it's a double edge sword because most people can't censure themselves and twitter is pretty much unfiltered. So you see a lot of unnecessary shilling and self patting on the back. I think that best case scenario it's a great marketing tool. Worst case scenario Twitter is the provider's path to ruin her entire business.
