Missing/removed reviews?

Have any other providers noticed TER removing reviews that have been posted for quite some time (months, even years)?

Two months ago I had 139 reviews

Three were removed and I asked TER they said the accounts or reviews were identified as fake or something like that. (This is worrisome on its own but that’s a whole other discussion)

Yesterday I had 136 reviews, today I have 130. No explanation, no notification from TER. Zilch.

What is the deal? Anyone else noticed their reviews being removed unexpectedly?

Confused...

...As such, hobbyists have to be able trust the accuracy of the reviews.

Since the volume of reviews is important to TER, they do not remove reviews lightly, as many other providers have complained about.  It's not in TER's interest to have fewer reviews, so if they removed some of your reviews, they must have had a good reason.

such as describing a particular activity that other reviews did not mention?

You might also contact the clients who wrote the reviews and encourage them to ask TER if TER is being tight lipped with you.   Possibly they'll be more forthcoming with the reviews' authors.

...that her total number of reviews is down.  If some of the reviews you've written were removed, would you know which ones?  You don't strike me as being like that guy a few years ago who posted his "ledger" of all the providers he saw.  :-)

BigPapasan...precisely right. I don’t have a photographic memory so I don’t know which reviews were removed.

That the reviewer violated some rules(not necessarily on your review) and are thus removing his?

but NINE of them???

I think it's something more than that at work here. What it is, I don't have a clue, but something is most definitely wrong when NINE reviews for a single provider have gone missing.

I'm guessing TER discovered something shady and did some kind of purge. What I meant be "likely" is that it is way more likely that a member or several members were banned, than suddenly 9 guys (who happened to review the same lady) asking voluntarily for their reviews to be removed. Could have been one person with multiple handles writing multiple reviews for the same providers. Could be a group of guys that got busted. Either way, I doubt it is anything that Madison did, otherwise she would be delisted instead of having a small percentage of her reviews removed. And 9 reviews out of 139 is a small percentage. Who would even notice other than her?
Now if it were a provider with 20 or 30 reviews who had 9 removed, that would be noticed.

Nine reviews of mine removed, TER claiming that either the account (or review) is fraudulent...

My account is not affected though...

I am not perfect, but I do read my reviews. I don’t think NINE fraudulent reviews could make it past me...especially while one difinitively fraudulent one I have already reported and requested removal of still remains.

I’m at a total loss.

There's no reason to assume TER administration is especially competent.  I haven't seen particular evidence yet that it is.

..........i happened to be talking with someone yesterday who on his postings beside his handle showed 2 reviews however upon moving to his reviews there is only one review actually up????  I rechecked and it was the same 2 reviews to credit but only 1 review to be found...........

...My total is accurate but over the years a few of the ladies I've reviewed have retired and had their profile/reviews removed by TER. A few ladies have been removed for other reasons. The result is if you count my reviews they don't add up to the number by my handle when I post. TER keeps my total because I did write that many reviews. Their are many cases like this it's just easier to notice when the monger has few reviews.

Hey thanks, I never knew that and I really appreciate you passing that along.  So on the other hand is it possible that a provider could find deleted reviews because a Hobbyist pulled his account down voluntarily and is it even possible for a Hobbyist  to have their account voluntarily deleted permanently?
Suzee

Also there have been members who are still active on TER, but had their reviews deleted from their account. It is not easy though. TER does not do this lightly. There has to be a good reason.

As to your first question, yes a provider could find that she has missing reviews because a client has his reviews deleted.

Probably was some monger getting caught  writing fake reviews, or broke some other rules and was banned.

If a hobbyist is banned for review fraud, then yes, those reviews will be removed. However many TER members have been banned for other TER violations (not review related) and their reviews remained.

Ter did this to me couple months ago. I inquired and I think the gents did too but did not get much response. They said it was a fake review. Fake? I see the guy once or twice a week lol. I know that dick is not fake! Ter doesn't even have my age category right and takes down certain websites u have listed while leaving other ones u request to be taken off. I think they like to just look like they are keeping a fervent watch while doing nothing. I would not worry about it. Guys only look at first 10 reviews or so anyways. I'm surprised they keep things up past 3 months actually!

Software to check in bulk for plagiarism is getting cheaper and easier to use. Maybe TER has secretly started using it to look for reviews that are copycats.  Copycat reviews COULD be totally fake reviews or they could be real but LAZY reviews. (A reviewer will copy a review from a different but similar Provider and apply it to the Provider he is reviewing. They could even copy it from another website.)
.
There is also plenty of bulk grammar-check and bulk spell-check software. Maybe the reviews were removed for bad grammar or spelling?

To give me more info. Specifically I asked for the handles of the removed reviews so that I can cross check them against my database and have rec3vied no response as yet.

Is that the one review I identified as fraudulent and requested removal of...still remains.

I am completely confused

Read the term and conditions, i.e., what is generally known as site policy. You are bitching about a free service, which brings you business and revenue.

In the grand scheme of things, the removed reviews adds up to 0.043165467625889. From a mathematical perspective, there is a very high probability, they were fake.

I don’t think I’m bitching about anything. I’m confused and asking if anyone else has noticed this happening in other markets.

And for your information, the service is not free to providers. I pay for the privilege of being a VIP member...and I don’t have the option to write fake reviews of hobbyists to “earn” free vip status. My only option is to pay. Which, if TER made paid VIP a requirement for clients as well, would probably make for a heck of a lot less fake reviews. IMO

I, too, have had a review inexplicably disappear lately, Madison.

Bitching about a free service...interesting perspective as I, too, pay for VIP only to have the opinions of (some) others with disgusting body odor, repulsive tasting cum, some of whom are disgruntled as I said no to services with them, etc. post the details of our session without say (and with lower scores) for the world to peruse while it took absolutely everything I had to get through the appointment.  Hmm...there is an emotional cost as well as financial in every BUSINESS transaction and if you are an entrepreneur you would know that without having to patronize a provider (just like the very ones you pay to suck & fuck you) here.

Allura,

I will say, I have noticed one positive side effect of the increase in rude monger activity in this industry...

An equal or greater increase in ladies speaking up in support of one another. The growing sense of community among providers is a beautiful thing to behold.

Thank you for being.

In my line of business my clients leave reviews for me as well and I noticed on a particular site that I lost 6 reviews. I contacted the review board website and found out at a later time that their explanation was that the clients who reviewed me used an email account that was later closed from inactive use in which in turn prompts a removal of the review on the website as well. Somehow through the web spiders they communicate this information.
