looks are nice, but I would never trade them for performance. As, I've posted before, with strippers I almost never go for the drop dead gorgeous ones 9-10 because they usually act they are doing you a favor and want a big tip for just looking good. I like the 6-8.5s . Decent ones with cute/pretty faces and a decent body. They usually go that extra mile to keep you coming back and for that tip. I would think that theorem translates over to the hooker world too.
Now I'm not saying ALL 9-10s give less than 10 performances, but I think the chances are higher. I could be wrong.
I think in many cases the hot chick who turns out to be a cold fish is a self fulfilling prophecy. You expect her to be cold and distant, in many cases because you (the generic you of course) feel you don't "measure up" and that's what you get.
It's like asking out the hottest girl in the room, often times that hottie is very approachable, it's just that her looks are intimidating and most guys are scared of being shot down so they go hit on some girl they feel in "in their league"
That said, yes I have been with some drop dead gorgeous women that turned out to be "ice queens" and I find it to be much more disappointing when a girl is THAT hot, but is a cold fish who can't stand to be touched, much less show any real passion.

Back in my younger days of dating (or attempting to date) civies, there actually seemed to be an anti-correlation between looks charm. The better looking gals might turn you down as often or more often, but they seemed to do it a lot more graciously. Whereas the lesser looking gals seemed more interested in ending the conversation as quickly and bluntly as possible.
