You are one of the best at economical texting.
I often, however, get whole manuscripts that go into needless meanderings, often with the sender using voice, so every other word is a typo of some kind. It really goes on way too long. As I try to politely end it with a smiley or a blown kiss, the sender uses that as license to send me volume II and then some.
Sigh, for the good old days of email.
Get a plan where you get unlimited texting for free. Then you can can do really long texts instead of one character and they don't cost you anything. I thought everyone knew about these plans.
In fact I ordered one from the Sears catalog over 3 months ago, and they keep saying it is on back order.
For now, I'll keep my old phone that is about the size of an average bar stool.
I used to know a super texter...she would text pages of texts at all hours and none of it made sense
for my hobby phone so my texts are always short and sweet!
