Something that I have been thinking about and wanting to ask. Recently a very well know Playboy model (Nicolette Shea) went mainstream, both porn and escorting. I have heard that she has been UTR for quite some time now but decided to go full throttle. Not an issue with the price point, that's covered in another thread. My question is, with an established reputation as a Playboy model, why would someone want to risk the negative public perception and go pornstar/mainstream escorting?
I ask this because I've mostly observed that pornstars have mostly bad-mouthed those who do both porn and escort on the side, most noticeably Lisa Ann and a few others. Other than the fact that one could potentially make a lot more money by making themselves available to the public vice remaining UTR.but I will say that while I doubt I would ever go through the process of actually booking a $2,000 hr girl, stone cold sober and days in advance, if I were drunk in a casino and had the opportunity to "do her" yeah, I'd hit that, and I wouldn't give a fuck about her rate.
I don't think I would ever spend two grand to bang a girl who simply had "centerfold looks" but to bang an actual centerfold, I have blown a lot more on things a lot dumber.
No doubt, she is super freaking hot, her body alone makes me consider. She has a couple of reviews but from what I read, nothing extraordinary.

Models get paid per assignment as appose to royalty check for mainstream actors,
not porn. Escorting, on the other hand, does have significant monetary rewards,
which depending on how successful a lady is, may be well worth the risk of public exposure and the bad that comes with it.

In this industry, there is a good amount judgment especially from within ladies who work the different avenues of it.
In my experience, the escorts make the most money, but get hated on my Dominatrix and bodyrub girls for being sluts.
Escorts in turn think Dominatrix are just weird and work too hard to make far less. As for BR girls, escorts think they are just amateurs who do the same thing as escorts under certain circumstances (being tipped $$$) and are prudes about it.
Porn actress especially just starting out, I feel fall under the same category as BR girls, and I've seen a good number of them turn to escorting on the front page or EROS doing tours. Stripping, in my opinion, is great because of the legalities but a hard hustle as the ladies have to be on their feet all night and the income varies greatly depending on the club, event, and time of the year.
Just my opinion and experiences of the industry. I feel escorting is the most honest work, but I'm biased lol
With escorting, the expectations are clearly laid out, there is no faking it like in a sugar daddy/baby situation and no qualms when the session is over.

I'm guessing that magazine models must have a different thought process about getting into p4p than porn stars.
1. All hot Playboy models eventually start looking milfy. Modeling jobs are going be sketchy at that point.
2. Any girl doing anything in the sex industry likes money. The point above is kind of a wake up call for a lot of hotties and they realize the clock is ticking for them to have some more earning years on their looks, so they realize it means they need to make hay while the sun shines. I met a UTR gal many years ago and we became close. One day she invited me to her apartment and there was her centerfold from about ten years earlier framed on the wall of her bedroom.

I think you may be overestimating how easy the civvie population might recognize a pornstar or playmate in public. They may be easily recognizable to us who play in this hobby but most civvies wouldn't know who they were unless they were on TMZ or some other tabloid site. Without googling them, can anyone here picture what the last 12 playmates of the months look like, let alone their names? How about any of the new pornstars that were at this year's AVN? Or any of these new pornstars who have shot a handful of movies and left the industry after a couple of months?
