Shorter and sweeter?

I've heard several reasons why touring gals might cancel a pre-booked appointment and most are the same: doublebooking, getting bumped by a regular and/or a more lucrative offer.

But I haven't heard anyone, especially a provider say that they'd bump you to see a first time customer. That could help them build a broader "local" base for subsequent visits to that town. She wouldn't do that, would she? LOL

Would that influence you more negatively when deciding whether to see her again than a cancel with a client wanting see her for longer session or an overniter?

Will you still want to see a provider who cancels your pre-booked appointment but not her trip?

I would but there would need to be some assurances

The providers want the money and are always looking at how they can improve the bottom line on a tour.  A provider might use an excuse that does not seem logical, but at the end of the day, she saw a more lucrative deal and she took it.

Who cancelled on you?

Business founded on maximizing cash flow. Customers should understand that and not get emotional about it.  Suppress your ego. I've been in both sides, the bumpor and the bumpee, so I can relate to the dilemma for the provider.

I'm leaving shortly for a multi-hour session. Usually I get an instantaneous confirmation with her. It took her 45 minutes, which usually means somebody got bumped. It's the way the business is. Don't take it personally.

.... whether for an established or new client doesn't matter. I have been cancelled for a longer appt. One escort even leveled with me. I don't have a problem with it.....once and only once.

You're the only person who aswered in response to my question. But I won't take it personal ...lol

We have all heard our share of provider excuses for canceling,  some of them quite imaginative. Unless she came clean (which would never happen) and admitted that she bumped you in favor of a better offer, how would you ever know?

You never know for sure unless there is some exceptional circumstances.

I recall a NCNS with a long time regular that had me wondering what the hell is going on.   She called me a few days later to say that she had an auto accident on her way to seeing me, and her phone was destroyed.   She had been in the hospital a few days and when she got home, she looked up my number on an old email and called.   I saw her a few weeks later and the bruise on her thighs gave proof of her story.

But otherwise, if you are in this hobby for a while, you'll hear your share of family emergency stories.  You just have to suck it up.

Unless she was sick or had to cancel her trip due to an unexpected visit from Aunt Flo, I'd imagine it would have to be a better offer. Wouldn't you? Maybe even a shorter session that was a lot of fun for her with a generous offer to extend.

Of course provider won't TELL us this, but aside from not wanting to see me/you for a personal reason, why travel if you're gonna cancel appointments ... unless for a better offer. I don't need someone to TELL me that.

As CDL notes, you can't take it personal ... unless it is personal ... lol

Someone once came clean with me. Read my post above.

I had a regular text me at 8:30 am to say "see you at noon!". Twenty minutes later she texted me to say that, if her assistant called, don't answer. Twenty minutes later she texted to say that she just got her period and she just got news that her grandmother's health had taken a turn for the worse.

I've had many employees, and one excuse is possible, two are usually a lie.

I had reason to meet with her before I left, and she came to my hotel. We met in the parking lot, with her arriving in her brand new 700-series BMW. She was dressed to the nines, in an expensive short knit dress that hugged every curve, and made her already impressive DD boobs look like they were in the next time zone.  She had on over-the-knee stiletto heel boots. She was wearing full makeup, including false eyelashes and eye shadow. I don't think she was dressed like that to see her ailing grandmother.

I'll never know the truth, but I'm certain I was bumped for a better offer.

Don't grandfathers ever get sick?

I have a business with some pickup trucks. It seemed like every weekend someone's grandmother needed to have a refrigerator moved. Like a sap I let them borrow a truck each time till one weekend I got a call from the police saying a train hit the truck which was left abandoned on the track.

That was the end of lending out trucks.

How all those grandmothers are getting their refrigerators moved around now is one of life's great mysteries.

Don't grandfathers ever get sick?
I was borderline NCNSd by a popular Provider. I was AT the hotel and called her assistant for the room number. She apologized profusely and said that she had to cancel. The reason being that her grandfather had just passed away and she had to return home immediately.
.
(I rescheduled on a return trip a few months later and got officially NCNSd. Reason: food poisoning and she took some medicine that knocked her out and she didn't hear my calls. Finally saw her a few months later and was well compensated for the multiple inconveniences. She remembered when her grandfather had died and told me more about family and stuff. Absolutely believable.)

We're in this for selfish reasons. We have dicks with a mind, albeit very small, of it's own. I've always touted patience and that it's well rewarded. Not necessarily in OTC or a reduced toll, but in reciprocal respect. It's  always served me well, and for the record, I've only experienced one NCNS and one day of cancel.

The day of cancel bothered me more because she really blows my doors off. I'd see her every day if I could afford to. All in all, I have no dog in this fight.

NCNS with any provider, but I have with civvie girls.  Have had my share of cancellations, but they always proved to be legit emergencies.

I went for year without ever being bumped. Now over the past 12 months or so it has happened more than I wish.  Maybe I was just lucky or maybe the hobby is getting more flaky.

And more often than not these cancellations are the day of... so, since there are so many great providers whom i have yet to see, here is how I have come to handle last minute 'bumps':

1. If she is the victim of something beyond her control; specifically, something that sounds convincing as opposed to a story having all the veracity of a fake orgasm ...for example, I had one awful situation where someone I was going to see one morning was beaten by a client the night before - she sent me the pics on her own, as i obviously would never ask...  then i would absolutely reschedule
2. If it's to bump me for something more lucrative or a regular, or even a new client then I will not make another appointment with her

I don't have unlimited time for play as work keeps me pretty busy, and if someone bumps me on the same day for selfish reasons, then I'm likely out of luck play-wise for a while.  It's not ego, although there's nothing wrong with having a healthy sense of self-worth - it's just that I don't have time to continually risk appointments with someone who proves to be unreliable so I will have to wish them the best and move on.
