TER General Board

First of that wouldn't be hooker math. That's TER math.

The star ratings for chemistry and location are now averaged in to the overall scores. If you look at her you will see she has 4 stars for both. The 4 stars would represent an 8. So the two 6.83s averaged with the two 8s become the new score.  I haven't figured out the exact but at least it does make some sense now. People have been asking for a few months now, how the new chemistry and location scores adjust the averages. Now we somewhat know.

While browsing new reviews I found this one. Her appearance avg. is 6.83 and her performance avg. is 6.83 yet she is listed as a 7.2.

Hooker math or new math or what?

This is probably due to the new score categories that TER implemented with the new release. I suspect as more reviews are written in the new format, we'll see more of this.

the score in bold may be a weighted average giving more credit to more recent reviews.  I could be wrong, as I haven't really run any numbers yet to see how this theory shakes out. This would be a good spot for Review Admin to explain it.

I have a suspicion that the reviews are date rated, or otherwise using some sort of "hotness" sorting method.

It would make sense if this turned out to be the case because it would push providers that never get reviews or are otherwise inactive down the listings.

So they went on a mission to make the system even more confusing and convoluted than ever.

Mission accomplished. lol

...using the new version of TER and the star ratings for chemistry and location are influencing her overall average.

Yes, but they aren't saying how they are weighting these new extras. I guess it's their system so we can use it or not. But an explanation would be nice.  After all, these scores affect these ladies' business.

...somewhere. But I do remember Admin said the star ratings would be considered. I don't remember if they said how. Possibly someone with better research skills than I can find one of those early discussions about the new "beta" TER where Admin replied.

Look at her photos until you posted this. You totally got me. Lol. (Pass the eye bleach).
