Do Providers ever get boycotted

SO,  I'm trying to convince a friend of mine that there's no way the clients could organize to flat our boycott someone. She's trippin right? It must just be that she just has a lull or isn't marketing right or something.

but a series of bad reviews all in the row could easily persuade virtually all of her TER clients to take a pass on her.

Back in the days of the "whore wars" in Atlanta, rival providers would start all sorts of nasty rumors about other gals, everything from accusing them of having incurable STD's to having been "flipped" by LE to every other truly nasty thing you can think of. This often had the effect of ruining both women's business. So yes it does happen.

Oh yeah, sometimes vindictive clients, ex clients, and SO's are the ones starting this kind of shit too.

This. AND there's always more where they/you came from. I've been on the receiving end of a fuck-with-her-life witch hunt, and I have noticed a decline in regulars, but I've also had a great amount of curious onlookers, two who are one visit away from being new regs.

Add a dash of loyal regulars, and I haven't suffered at all. So ultimately, boycotting a provider may just swing the other way, thus making the organizers look like desperate people with little to do with their lives, which most people don't find attractive.

That equates to taking a chance of damaging your own business.

in LA where a girl raised her rates and got boycotted for a period of time.  Eventually, the boycotters realize she is not going to lower them back down and they suck it up and pay the new rate.  Everything else we need goes up in price periodically, why not pussy?

... back-channel communication exists in our world just as it exists in the provider world.  "Word can get around."

Then there's the occasional concerted effort by a small group of mongers to ruin the business of a provider they don't like for some reason, using attacks on TER, back channels, etc.  I know of cases where that did hurt the business of the provider who was the target, at least short-term.  But if that were happening to your friend, she'd probably know about it.

More likely it's what you told her:  a temporary lull, a need for better marketing and such.

I can't even mention the provider's name because TER will delete my post, but yeah, a provider up here (I've seen her, she's a hoot) got run off the board a couple years back.  She also got banned from p411.   She's still in business but no doubt her income potential was impacted by the dog pile on her.

She apparently bruised a few egos and so they sought to destroy her.   Yeah, it happens.

It is not possible. I know some providers with terrible reviews and yet they remain busy.

and I've seen a couple ladies forced to move on out of the area because of it, but I've only seen this happen to ladies that are new to the business and not well established.  If you're friend is hot, has a decent number of reviews and has a good website or agency then she's trippin.

In a drama heavy (for a small area…the twin cities) there have been a lot of boycotts that have gone on since before TER had a board here. To tell you the truth that I still think there is some going on. But the core of a lot of the boycotts is a business war between escorts around here, then their regulars divide into their own camp, so they don’t see the other side and spread “lies” about the “other” escorts. Plus a lot of guys get a little scared because of the drama.

Guys don't meet in some dark alley and say, "hey don't see so and so", or we don't get messages suggesting to boycott anyone, or at least I've never received that "memo". I make by own decision based on alot of factors, and innuendos or whispers don't sway me one way or the other....Now ladies..I can see them pow wowing...But guys, we like what we like.

Mantra:  for every man that does not like what I have offer or have provided him, there is absolutely one who does...

I have clients who told me they were contacted prior to our meeting about me, my performance, personality, (giant labia), etc.  I am aware that Reviewers talk on the Reviewer Only board just as we do on the Provider Only board...people are called out and it is ok.  I certainly cannot read all of the posts here, the ad boards, the photo boards, other websites, and on the forum.

Fake reviews by persons I have refused to see (and to no avail will not be removed) don't do much other than make the reviewer look foolish.  No worries...move on and find the ones that appreciate you.

All men think with their bonner?

especially if your disrespecting TER or any of the established reviewers,,
I try and remain sweet and simple when posting on here and in my client relationships:)

Remember, boycotting doesn't necessarily mean 100% of customers are not going to 'shop' at your store.  There is an NFL boycott going-on, but they are still the highest rated programming on television.  The owners and related businesses have taken a hit, and are now reacting to it.

That being said, yes, providers are boycotted.  Just like mongers are black listed.  It's to what degree is the question.  I think what OP is asking is, can a provider lose enough significant business because of her actions/words.  The answer is yes.

My opinion is that if if a provider is in a large enough market, then she can always re-brand and start over.  Guys think with their little head, not their big heads in this business.

"hobby". GAG's correct on this one about these guys being selfish. All a girl would have to do is make a client feel special and they would run over eachother to see her. There is no union here.

Rate is too high, girl doesn't do what they want, other providers/pimps spreading rumors about them, etc.

is BSC on the boards and is just not very attractive.

In those cases it's not  a "boycott" it's just a bunch of individuals coming to the same conclusion that their money would be better spent on a "better" hooker.

If someone is putting out a bad product it's not a boycott when people don't buy it, it's a matter of personal choice.

I look at number of reviews when determining if I hire a provider. Higher numbers means she probably is a decent person. Then I read her website. Attitude comes across in the website. I do not like the attitude, I do not hire. If I ever had a bad provider, I just won't leave a review.

Someone had said there were "numerous" DNS, or Do not see lists Is that how this could happen? Is that a thing?

DNS lists are lists of clients that you ladies refuse to see, not women that men refuse to see.

Hiya, I cant find the thread now but jakefromstatefarmsaid some thing about  if someone kept saying things, she woul dend up on several "DNS" lists. I assumd that meant Do Not See but maybe It's DNS Do naughty sex? LOL

Absolutely. Shit spreads like wildfire here with people who have nothing better to do with their time. The question is if you listen to them or the lil voices in your own head lol. Followers consume the masses in the real world. Unfortunately this world is no different I'm afraid.
