We have a love - hate relationship with them, but they are a necessity.
When I first started out, I used only non-lubricated condoms, Trojan (red box). I was told by my 'mentor' that BBBJs were a no-no. She was a nurse by profession, so I listened. That is no longer my rule, but I am also sensitive to the lubrication that comes on the lubricated condoms and completely allergic to spermicides.
I keep the non-lubricated condoms in case I will not BBBJ (just in case, you never know about cleanliness and such) and then if I need lube I have brought my own that I am not sensitive to.
There are times when you need Magnums or XXLs and those are always lubricated. The chances of needing those are slim, so I just live with the minor irritation for a day or so that the lube brings. If I use my own lube over the other lube, that sometimes works.
I have gotten complaints about the non-lubricated condoms. Too thick, not senstive enough, etc. However, if I used the pre-lubed condoms all the time, I would be a mess.
This is my round-about way of asking for recommendations from both providers and hobbyists. I need something that is easy to obtain from a drugstore preferably.

Condums are very problematic for me as I'm allergic to latex and there ain't nothing worse than having Johnson with the hives! I've tried the synthetic plactic models but they are not large enough and I've had trouble with them coming off at the wrong moment.
I've settled on a Mangnums with AstroGlide on Johnson first, then the magnum then more Astroglide on the outside, (KY liquid works fine too.) I take the condum off quickly after a pop and I wash up for round two where the process is repeated. When the session is over, an immediate shower keeps Johnson happy.
I have had a circumstance recently with a provider that had her own condum she wanted me to use, which was not acceptable. I do not know the brand, but it was very tight and short, I'm not all that "studly", but only half my shaft was protected! The thickness of the latex was like tank armor and I couldn't feel anything. The tighness finally squzzed off my erection and I was not a happy Hobbyist.
I'm sticking to Magnums and buffering with Astroglide. They have AG now in flavors for external use on condums for BJ's! Now that's a good idea!

Condoms are a necessary evil and if you are going to buy them locally, I suggest the Durex Brand. With the STDs out there today, you may also want to invest in a Kevlar vest, a hipwading suit, and double-insulated hiking boots.
The older I get, the more problem I have with condoms. My ATF out in Vegas turned me on to Kimono micro thins,large size. She swears by them and I love them. They are sensitive but seem to be very sturdy. There are a number of websites that sell them, but I have not been able to find them in drugstores or even the local adult shops.
Simply "Google" Kimono Condums and you will find everything that you need!
For me, I introduced my ATF to Kimono Microthin and she uses it exclusively now.
