Cash app & Google Wallet

I've been approached by women on SA and on WYP to send $ via Cash app or Google Wallet before ever meeting. I strongly decline am a strong believer in using the envelope. I've heard there are scams out there using the Cash app and the Google Wallet. I believe TER is the best bet but have heard good stories from men on SA or WYP. Any thoughts on the Cash App and Google Wallet?.. Thank you all in advance.

Now that’s out of the way. My thoughts on using cash app or google wallet, NEVER. cash is king

That’s how I feel. Cash is king. I’m Leary if transferring $ digitally. Their reply is that guys short them. My reply to that is, “Count it.”

That said, the internet is the internet, and one universal rule still almost always applies. "Do NOT send strangers money that you only know from the internet"

Are there exceptions? Of course there are. For instance if you see a well reviewed provider that lives a thousand miles away that you "Just have to see" and you want her to hop on a plane to come see you, well then "one of you" is going to have to shell out some bucks for the ticket and you can bet it's not going to be her.

Never say never, but I honestly can not think of a single circumstance where I could be convinced to send so much as a single dollar, via any method, to a woman I met through SA or WYP. Actually I can't imagine using the WYP platform at all, where you are paying for the privilege of paying some woman to eat a meal at your expense. I don't begrudge buying even a very expensive meal for a lady I am interested in, but I am damn sure not going to pay her to eat it.  I know the argument is that "her time" is worth something, to which I STRONLY disagree. A hooker's time is VERY valuable, most hookers make several hundred bucks an hour. A POT SB is most likely a college coed or stuck in a menial job and HER time is worth almost nothing.

It's really not fair to compare TER with SA or WYP, TER is to find reputable providers, SA and WYP are geared for non pros. Don't go looking for Sugar Baby's on TER and don't go looking for hookers on either SA or WYP, although I will concede there is a certain crossover, and what ever you do, DO NOT going sending any of these scammers money in advance of actually meeting.

Thanks GaGambler! I joined those sites for one month only to venture out after hearing the stories of guys here using those sites and venturing away from TER. I've learned that money is better spent on TER and not the other sites.

but TER and SA are two very different worlds, TER is going to give you much more guaranteed results and will take much less time and effort, but if you do have the time and learn a few simple rules about how things work in the Sugar World, you can find yourself getting overnight dates for the same price that you would expect to pay a "well reviewed TER provider" for a single hour, but I will warn you that there is most definitely a "learning curve" and you will have to "unlearn" many of the rules you have learned here on TER, not the least of which is "negotiating". Negotiating is pretty much a no-no in the hooker world, at least here in the USA it is. In the Sugar World however, pretty much everything is negotiable.

If all you desire is short dates every once in a while with a "sure thing" I would have to agree TER is the place to be. if OTOH if you are looking to spend extended time with a woman/women without breaking the bank, the sugar world might be the place to be.

My goal is to find one I enjoy the best to take on trips and to come by some evenings. I appreciate your detailed comments.

Admin has kindly allowed us to use The Erotic Highway board as our defacto Sugar board.  If you'd like to learn more about how the Sugar world in general and Seeking Arrangements in particular work, I would suggest you pay that board a visit. Believe it or not, it's one of the "friendliest" boards on all of TER.

You may find it is exactly what you are looking for, and those of us who've been at it a while can warn you about which pitfalls to avoid.

GaGa,

Are you implying I'm not asshole-ish enough? I suppose I can do better, if it's really important to the other assholes on the sugar board. :p

They also ask you to sign up with some verification site and tell you it is free. But you need a credit card, verification is free but the site is not and they will charge you monthly..

Seat the F away.

Rule #1 when someone asks for money up front, it is a scam. When in doubt, refer to rule #1.

To be accurate, WYP does not ask anyone to sign up for a bogus verification site.
.
But scammers who use WYP might.
.
If you get asked to "get verified" report the profile to site admin.

Unfortunately there isn’t much available for finding credibility from SB’s (no reviews/references)

Maybe (if you are terribly curious to meet a lady) you could negotiate a small token ($25-50 Amazon gift card maybe) as a show of goodwill, but not so much to hurt too bad financially. Potential SB’s have a lot of BS to dig through on those sites, so I don’t fault them for asking. You’d have to feel it out and trust your gut. If she is asking for hundreds or thousands of dollars... you’re just as well off helping that Nigerian Prince who sends those emails lol

I use this app. It is very safe. It is owned by foursquare. I use it for my other businesses and have for a very long time. It is linked directly to the users bank account not credit card. It is pretty difficult to be scammed through unless of course the provider just is a no show. Make sure she is a provider with a solid reputation on her, has a website and has a presence. A good provider will not risk her reputation and business by stealing a deposit from you. I have asked for a deposit or prepay on a travel date via the Cash App several times. It works out smooth and is much better than Pay Pal for both parties. I know most hobbiests frown on anything besides good old cash in an envelope, but some situations call for other options. Do your research on her first and if she feels safe then I fell that sometimes a bit of trust pays off in the end. Just a thought from the other side. Best of luck.

Thank you Bentley. I posted the question thinking it was a new form of payment that even TER would use. That’s good to know about using it for travel. Don’t think I will be using the app for a SB, who I do not know.

I prefer the cash app to the other ones because it is so simple and goes directly into my bank account. I have no idea how that works out with TER people since I haven't received any inquiries here since Nov 16. It works great though.

You don't send people money over the internet on either of those sites. On SA, you meet a someone, go out with them, and agree on an allowance to be provided to that person however frequently the agreement is for. On WYP you pay as soon as the date shows up to the dinner or movie date.

Of course it is a scam to request money from a stranger on the internet  -___- . It is not the intended use of either of those sites. Read next time, okay?
