Disclaimer: I don't book through Backpage and only browse there rarely. But when I just went there, while it looked very different, all I had to do was click on a phone # to go right to an old-style BP ad. I think once Johns learn to do that there will be very little impact on business.
Old ads had subject lines and content. New ads have a phone number, fake social media link and pics. It makes it a lot harder to peruse ads, and in fact makes them pretty useless.,

I don't like it at all. I actually use backpage to announce my tours in advance and now because of the change I can't put the dates up so everyone thinks I'm available now. I tried putting a screenshot of my phone with the dates up but that doesn't really do the trick honestly; add that to rising cost of ads even in suburban areas with less potential clients and the massive lag between paying for credits and actually getting them and you've got a recipe for disaster. Personally, I don't know why they even bother paying lawyers to defend them from congressional lawsuits since they seem hell bent on destroying their escort ad business themselves anyway.

She's complaining about an ad site that is charging her more and delivering less, and quite frankly I think she and the others complaining about these latest changes have a very valid point, although I am almost positive that BP did this on advice of counsel and not because they are tone deaf to the needs of their advertisers.
I see a LOT of "angry bitter" hookers on these pages, but this is not one of those times. This is not even just a problem for the ladies, I see it being a giant pain in the ass for those guys living in areas where BP is the only ad site that services their small community/s
Thanks gagambler for putting my statement into perspective. Honestly I worry about how what they are doing will affect clients. I am higher priced than most girls on backpage (it's not even my main source of advertising) so I can absorb the cost for the most part but for a lot of guys it's a good place to go for women who charge less. Backpage makes the hobby more accessible for working class clients. However their price increases which seemingly have no end in sight will make it more expensive to do business; as a result girls will raise prices and in certain areas that's a problem. Places like Eros already exist and backpage needs to do better research on who calls the women on their site. The lack of understanding of this issue stems from the fact that Backpage is more than happy to take our money but never surveys us or asks any questions. If they did, they would find out that the average client on BP is only willing to spend between $50-$200. At some point this has to change or they will lose their advertisers. they also don't announce that changes will be made so that women can prepare. They just spring it on us. One day the ad is $5 an hour, then randomly it's 7. In just the past week some of the bigger city prices have shot up to $10 after being 7 for less than a month. If I did that I'd have no clients... it's bad business.
I only go on backpage to window shop but if I want something then I google the number first. All the other stuff is for disclaimers and if they have those then it just makes me want to save my money. For example, no black men (I am black), nothing under X, (I have a budget that is between 80-120 for BP girls), no men under 40 (I don't every tell them my real age anyway), and no text (I prefer call to verify if she is real anyway).................But because of the issues with Backpage. There more on Craigslist. There so many ways to advertise in the hobby..so if a girl is having trouble it is because she has been isolating herself. which is not bad.

Am I right understanding that providers could script some sort of bio and use that along with photos and contact info? Now they can only post photos a name and a contact number? Why is that? What do BP achieve (or believe they will achieve) from that? Confused...

No arrests, but they got served with warrants to go through their records as I recall. Their servers are over seas, so shouldn't affect them too much except for stateside customer service.

I advertise on BackPage regularly (especially for all my touring) and just the other day was when I first had to adjust my ads accordingly. All I could enter for a subject/title was a phone number, no name or any text allowed.
My inner 80s chick soooo wanted to use 867-5309 lol but instead I simply but all 5s as I don't need a deluge of dick pics. So if you ever see my phone # posted on BP then that means I suddenly feel the need for those... maybe for a collage, IDK. 
I have a Sponsor Ad (the little banners on the sidebar and footers) and posted a couple pics containing relevant info. Rumor has it BP is removing these, but so far that hasn't happened to me.
Anyway, I've barely had any responses for my most recent ads there, which is a BIG change.
In medium-large cities, I'd normally get a dozen or so inquiries within hours of posting the ad.
This time around? None to a few. Very sad.

One thing I find kind of funny is that 555 is kind of the same thing as "lol" in Thai.
I can understand why your response rate has gone down as it's a giant PITA to click on every phone number looking for the handful of ads that appeal to you. Hopefully someone else will step in to fill the void that now exists some of these underserved markets.

I believe one reason why you might not be getting as much traffic is because of the all "5's" number. I understand your reasoning for not providing your number, but this could make some think "not real" without even clicking on it. But then again, the all "5's" number could make someone click on it just to see out of curiosity. It seems the former thinking, at least in the example ads market, is at work here.
Btw. The market of your example ad still has some ads with more info than a number in the subject/title. Not sure how these ads got by being different.
One, I never liked Backpage. But the name and number is all I need anyway. I do my research by googling the number. But with backpage going down there are other sources. in my area craigslist has gotten better. as a hobbyist I love what is going on. Providers may not agree.
Question to providers--I figured with the changes in the BP ad rules, providers would move to some other advertising or posting board. Any thoughts on other sites or boards that post original ads and don't just scrape and repost BP ads?

People will always find creative ways.
Yep I admit it looked bleak at first with the new format but give it up to the ladies' ingenuity to find way to work around it.
1) Since it requires a link to social media account (i.e. facebook, instagram, twitter...) just create a fake account then put your pics and ad text in there.
2) Instead of typing in the text ad like before now all you have to do is create your text ad somewhere else and take a picture of it. Then sneak it in together with your regular pics.
Just go to the site and check out the ads for yourselves to see many gals are starting to put their text ads inside their pictures instead.
The advantage of doing this is you can actually format your text the way you like with customized fonts, colors... without the limit of how many words as opposed to the old boring black and white text with limitation on number of words.
Between TER ads and the "visiting" section of P411, can find more girls I want to see than I ever will be able to see.
I bet Backpage love everyone always giving exposer.
Ever since last january with the govt. trying to shut down BP. It has been a disaster to us in the small communites. BP is the only game in town. At one point I had 7-8 providers I can see and for awhile there was none. We would sometimes even get a high end escort but none come to my knowledge. I been coming to TC and getting a hotel for outcall to me. So far I been lucky and can find someone, but that will catch up to me. Incall is out of question there as I dont know my way around and cant stand big city traffic. The other websites, most dont carry these small communities. I hope anothe website takes up the slack, just my two cents worth.
A few things to consider.
There will always be method of advertising. TER is good example of how it will be done. Maybe they smart, maybe they guess correct but it is the way it will be.
Advertising SW is not illegal in many countries. In fact it is legal in many countries. If the website is owned in country that it is legal, If the servers are placed in country where it is legal. Then nothing illegal has occur. Just because the website has forums to discuss places outside that country is not a break of law.
Providers like BP, Wix, Square, GoDaddy are US companies. They are US companies and subject US laws. And perhaps the content and or the intent of people who use those sites may be at risk. I am not lawyer and have no real claim to know for sure.
Eventually sites like Twitter and FB will be risky also as they are US companies follow the US law.

I have seen a large fall off in the number ads. There is much less selection. 
Personally I have always liked backpage. The ladies there are more reasonably priced than eros or the boards here. I do not want GFE, so I do not like paying GFE prices.
It is true that contacts via BP are slowing down. If you click on the GALLERY display rather than TOP display, you will notice that many of us are adding our ad text for our ads in a picture format. This is one way of getting around the issue by not having to click through thousands of phone numbers.
I am planning on posting on Eros after the holidays. I am just waiting to see how things are going due to recent events with Eros. I post my visiting ads on TER. I am also considering P411.

Yes, as others have stated, BP has reduced the amount of characters one can enter within their ad, however, I just started typing my info in a document, screenprinting it, and uploading it as a jpeg. I should have actually done that a while ago, as I can provide more information that way.

I now look at CL ads, then see if the picture is on BP to get the number.
