Curious if guys have a 'wishlist' situation in their minds, or have already booked ahead to have dates to look forward to, or do you just wing it week by week and see who pops up on the radar?
I'm not much of a planner, so I think if I was a guy I'd just check every so often to see what lovelies were in or coming to town 
... and includes a special date in mid-February 
and another (overnighter) in March, and a not-yet-scheduled but highly-anticipated meetup with a visiting provider in April. And a few others.
I have a list too, but I doubt I'll be able to see everyone on it this year. I'll make a big dent in it though!

...its more like a list of goals for 2018 and like all goals they get adjusted as the year brings unexpected opportunities. 😎
The wishlist, seeing two ladies together for a double this year, that I saw separately last year. And that scheduling is in progress.

One week out. When I finish my Saturday session, I book Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for the next week. I never cancel once I'm booked with a girl, and you never know who might be coming to town, so I want to be open to take advantage of touring ladies I might be able to see in short notice.
What I like in 2018 is the same as 2017. There are fewer local agencies in the Boston area and touring agencies have moved right in to fill the gap.
I don't book till last minute but am always reading the ads to see who is coming. Special skills like swordswallowing or yoga instructor always get my attention. Currently have two girls in mind for Jan 18-20. It will be a tough decision if they both make it to Boston as planned

Like you I am not much of a planner, in fact I make most of my airline reservations on my actual way to the airport. For years I kept an overnight bag with all the essentials, "just in case" and I carried (still do) my passport in my briefcase for the very same reason. I am one of those guys who would never travel anywhere without taking my Am Ex card and my passport, "just in case" I got the urge to go somewhere out of the country. I am very much the same way where it comes to getting laid. When I have the urge, I want to take care of that urge "right now" not some distant date in the future.

I wish I could get my brain and my heart on the same page for the Championship game. I simply cannot bring myself to bet against Bama in a game of this magnitude, but I will be rooting for UGA.

Here’s my wish list. All of them are a little out of my price range (undoubtedly deserving) so not sure if it would come true ( depends on how many overtime hours I Clock ).

2 or 3 times a week depending on my mood and who is available. I don't plan too far ahead as you never kmow who will pop in. However, I plan on seeing MoniqueStDivine...yummy.
1. continue to see my ATF about every-other week.
2. continue to see someone I recently met about once per month and possibly set up a threesome with her and her friend.
3. catch the occasional touring girl from any of the Eastern European agencies.
4. sample two or three other independent providers and see where it goes.
Items 3 and 4 probably fall into your "wing it" scenario.
My only "wish list" item is hooking up with a retired provider who reached out to me late last year but due to circumstances we never got together.
I could also imagine myself contacting 3 or 4 providers I have already met over the last few years.
The earlier a lady announces her schedule, the better for me so I can make sure I'll be available.

I am dependent on the whims of the touring ladies. Sometimes we get some wonderful providers, especially in season, but often times, it's slim pickings.
people I'd love to meet. But, two rarely come to the east coast. Luckily, the third is visiting my town in a month. But, I'm always weary of the cold since many people are sick. I'm speaking more of myself. Last thing I want is to not be feeling well when a favorite of mine is in town...and it happens more so during the cold months.
