As it is right now, someone can take another's handle and add a phrase as an insult.
Many dislike this. The only reason more don't complain is that it has not been used on them or carried further. Yet.
The next step, which wil come sooner or later, will be alias such as 'provider'-has-a-yeast-infection or 'moderator'-likes-young-boys 'member'-is-an-LE-informant and so forth.
I think it's obvious that determining how far is too far would be unmanageable, and not have the desired results.
just a thought
Thanks
All you "guys" do is whine.
such as 'Scoed' instead of 'scoed' or the like in an attempt to fool others as to who is actually making the post. I know in the past, this was done to a few posters (not scoed) to intentially make them look bad.
That post got pulled though with out me saying a thing. I think they put a stop to it on the GD board. I can't speak about other boards.
You rub a lot of guys the wrong way, and come off as a whining menstruating female. Bottom line is most guys do not like you on the boards. If you changed your demeanor, and acted more like a man with a set of cojones, you'd be picked on less by board members. Even some of the ladies are tired of mangina men on the boards.
Also, a member cannot simply create an alias by making an upper case letter on an existing username. That does NOT work.
and it is true changing capitalization does not work but adding a "." or "," does and isn't easy to spot. That is what was done to me.
But truth be told, I made peace with the fact, that the ball-less aliases will never like me. You too would be disliked by some if you had the balls not to hide. Now take care.
I don't know scoed, but if he were annoying me I don't want him posting as an alias to manipulate a topic or slandering me. Better that he gets one name and we know who he is.
I think the alias posting is being used as a terrific means for allowing girls to manipulate discussions and sometimes even sabatoge them.
Mangina, I don't know if you are a hobbiest or a ho. If I see that you have posted several reviews then there is more evidence that you are probably a hobbiest and I can get a better sense of your post.
As an alias with nothing to go on, I can't assume anything. For all I know you might be some lonely girl that no one is calling.
Sorry if I am being obtuse, but I don't understand the benefit of allowing an alias on top of the anonymous ter handle we already have. Only pro I've seen is that someone wants to say something that's embarrassing like, "I have a 2" dick full bore erection will I ever be able to satisfy a woman?" Uh, so that's really important to let someone post that as an alias? With an alias this could be a troll post, with the ter handle its a stupid thing to post for one, but if it means that much to somebody, like you said mangina, man up and say "I am concerned that I can't satisfy a woman with my small cock" geez, there have been loads more posts about that belaboured subject than kgirls.
Oh, the other great alias reason is to post something about a girl you don't have the balls to say with your 32 post handle. Man up and say it if its such a big deal or stfu and don't post it if your so worried about getting blacklisted. It probably isn't worth posting then. If we make a post that hurts a girls business that's worse for her than us.
If I am missing something on the benefits of the alias please educate me.
Thx

And even though I am a target of the ball-less alias crowd. Aliases have legit uses. First my handle is hardly anonymous. Several people both guys and gals know my real name and my TER handle. There is posts that do contain sensitive information that shouldn't become public knowledge but the topic should be discussed. I have indeed used them for that purpose.
The second is to protect those you reviewed. I once posted about a provider I know who was going bare back full service with the knowledge she had an STD. In order to protect the ladies I have reviewed as it wasn't any of them, I had to use an alias. Since it would be against TER policy to name names and had those who wanted this info post then I PMed the info to them. People would have unfairly thought I was speaking about one of them with out the alias.
Aliases are important, even if there are some who use them just for the purposes of belittling others, manipulating threads, and slandering others. Even I as a frequent receiver of aliased attacks don't want them removed.
As to why they find me annoying, lets just say I don't hide my opinion on things and the alias attack crowd don't often see eye to eye with me. I do find it odd though that one alias thinks he speaks for most guys on the boards as I doubt he has even spoke to most of them. Even if that is true I do have my friends here and frankly, I really don't care.
Hey man that's cool. I figured you wouldn't since your well known. I wanted to use that as a hypothetical situation.
I'm real surprised that you are in favor of keeping aliases, and your point is an example, but if I knew that someone was trying to infect the community with stds I'd post with my name. If she were a friend I would talk her into getting well first or if not possible then at least practice safe sex. If she were maliciously trying to hurt people she'd be no friend of mine and I'd out her or him if a dude.
If an alias says, I know someone has an STD and is bbfs, pm me for details, that could be slanderous as well. How do we know you aren't a girl trying to ruin another girls business. I figure the accused has a right to know her accuser. Its better than the malevolent BS that goes on with aliases.
Better yet, why not just tattle to the mods. They maintain the community. I know, mods are people too, but I trust them more than someone who needs to hide behind an alias.

So I couldn't name names. Second, they would know who I was as I would have to at that time PM as my handle that they could then look up. She was a friend (not after I outed her) and there was a bit more to the story. Lets just say there was a pimp in the mix and he was the one pushing her to provide and the source of the STD. She wasn't trying to infect anyone, she was being pushed from someone else.
If I went live with my handle without naming names as I couldn't, every lady I reviewed would be suspect. That would not be fair to them. Aliases made warning people possible without hurting other providers business that play safe. Plus the Mod did say I wasn't a troll, so you have his word that I am likely on the up and up. Trust me I was in communication with the moderators that board.
I can think of many need posts that could't go live without aliases. Here are just a few:

Both posts generated a healthy discussion on real situations. Both posts could have been disastrous to the poster if not under an alias. I really doubt ether post would have been posted without the alias feature. Alias attack posts can be ignored. Posts like the above require aliases or they just wont happen. I for one think that would be a shame.
Thx for taking the time to paste some examples.
First case of the woman and HIV is tough, wonder why she doesnt have a support group or know of a different web community to post to. I never consider ter for that kind of discussion, I figured the ter angle is all pay to play, reviews and warnings.
2nd one could be legit, or could be a troll. More importantly I found some of the alias attack responses unworthy of bandwidth.
Doesn't seem like it matters though. Things will stay as they are and those with low tolerances will just have to ignore.
My alias for scoed is not in an attempt to imitate him, and there is nothing wrong with it.
Scoed himself has told everyone in threads how comfortable he is being obese. How many times has he talked about his weight, washing under folds, Can't clip his toenails, etc.
scoed is a big boy, and doesn't need you to speak for him. If he complained about it, I would probably not use it again.
You never did have a sense of humor, even under your provider handle.
I just can't safely shave my scrotum so I get it waxed. ![]()
Truth is I hate being fat. But it is what I am. If I got offended every time someone spoke the truth about me in a negative way, I would always be offended. What the point at that? In fact I am a bit flattered by your alias. It means I am on your mind. Besides going back and forth with an alias can be fun. ![]()
I do get board with the repetitiveness of the insults hurled my way. I put out so much good material, can't you alias types do better? It isn't like I make it hard. It is not like coming up with a new way to insult aliases, it has all been done before.
But I am thinking and I hope to think of something soon. ![]()
Only thing that really get on my nerves is when people go after my family. Going after my family is not cool, but I am fair game. There is only one time I have complained about an aliased attack on me to the mods and that is when one went after my wife.
I do have one question, why does everyone assume I am anti-alias? I just don't get it.
True, I like to know who is going at me and dislike most alias attack posts, but I think aliases do have legit purposes on the boards. I have stated such time and again. And now they fixed the the issues with review aliases*, I am fine with them as well. They have their uses, and now they are much like a second handle. Hell, I use aliases on the boards from time to time, just not to attack with.
scoed,
the dude who has emptied way to many fridges. ![]()
*It is true I had my issues with review aliases when review aliases first came out, but TER has fixed every issue with them I had. There is accountability with them as you only have one, and you can back-channel with them as well. Good job TER. No one can claim TER doesn't listen. Just for the record, review aliases as now constituted are a good thing in my book.
You can't make up most of the pathetic shit that gets posted by the board manginas.
