Recalculate Providers' Age

This may have been suggested before, but I often see providers age listed which is not accurate. For example, I recently viewed a provider's profile that showed her most recent review was in 2001, which is 16 yers ago. Yet her age range still showed as 21-25.  Even if she was only 18 back then, she must be at least 34 now.  Why is this error allowed to persist? Why not do away with the entire age range format and list the providers' actual age, then update it automatically every year? Seems like a simple enough program to write. As it stands, hobbyists searching within a certain age group have no confidence in the accurcy of the results.

You can submit a Problem Report on that Profile and point out the math error to TER. It's probably totally moot. If her last review was 2001, I'll guess that her URL and phone are totally wrong, too. Report it to TER.
.
BTW, there are many and even more egregious examples of ACTIVE Providers who try to reset their age repeatedly. Some Profiles have been age-incremented via Problem Reports and then the Provider will complain and the age will be reset to the lower range.  There was a case out of SoCal recently where a Provider had to choose between becoming older or being delisted because she was an underage Provider. She got old pretty quick and changed her age. Some Providers delist and then create a new Profile with the help of new reviewers.

I agree about the auto-incrementing of age. It does like an easy piece of programming to implement. Even if they stayed with the 5-year ranges (4-year error range), those could auto-increment every 5 years.
.
I suppose you could argue about WHEN to add one year: Jan 1, like horses. Anniversary of TER sign-up date. Anniversary of first review. Whatever is decided ... ADD AGE AUTO-INCREMENT!

The provider you are talking about did t change her age. Someone did it with a problem report (I know who got the 2 free days for that. Lol) She tried to change it back but relented when threatened with delisting. 😊
