Should not be tolerated. AT ALL. We are all supposed to be adults and I do not think that it is asking too much to expect us all to behave accordingly. Even if you disagree with someone or can not stand them, threatening them with physical violence should never be an option.

threatening anyone with physical violence is never the answer in any setting, but what exactly are you proposing here on the Suggestion & Policy board?
If someone threatens another member either via pm or message board post, they should be banned.

I do agree with you 100% on this serious issue.
I was recently threatened with violence by another TER member on another forum. That person was reported to TER and that post was removed.
I don't know if TER has a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for potential threats of violence towards other TER members, if not, TER should do it. Period.
There should not even be a discussion about it, just put in a Zero Tolerance policy in place and ENFORCE with NO exceptions for ANY TER member.

Yes, some guy wrote a horrible review on me but I have no clue who he is so I asked TER to remove it. They asked me to pm him & politely ask him to refresh my memory. So I did. His reply was very immature and didn't include a single detail that I asked for. He ended it with "Don't contact me again unless you want me to punch you around a little, slut.".
So I of course sent that to TER & they removed the review, but he is still a member so I think it's safe to assume there is NOT a no tolerance policy at this time.

but violence against women (or against anyone for that matter), is no laughing matter and I would agree that such a crack earn a lifetime ban just to make the point very loudly.

Whether that person meant it as a joke or jab at that other person, this should NEVER be tolerated.
If someone make the same kind of "crack" at me... How am I supposed to know that this person is playing around? That's just it... I do not know!
On the other hand... that person may really want to beat the living daylights out of me, but used a joke to get his point across.
See? Either way... those kinds of postings / comments should get that person banned... period.

Thanks for answering my questions, and I am sorry that happened to you. That definitelysoundslike a "ban able" offense to me. I have heard of people being banned for less than that. Threats of physical violence should definitely not be tolerated, and I was under the impression that was the case already. Not sure what happened here. Good luck to you.
I have twice been threatened with violence & three times my personal information has been put up on TER ,Administration has been given all evidence and even though these are ALL situations that the person should be Banned, it has never occurred not once!The last three occurred under the "new" administration.
Worse still,Providers and "respected members" have contacted New girls that I identified as"friends"( people I see on a regular basis)and used improper language and intimidation telling them to stop seeing me or else... One provider even admitted such actions on my local board!On this same board a few days ago another "respected provider" put up my personal family information and lied shamelessly!

Aside from that, there seems to be more to this story. I am not disagreeing with you in regards that a person should be banned for posting private information.
My issue is this...
If you did what you did by giving evidence to TER, I would be under the impression that TER would or should ban that person from TER permanently.
By the same token, there's always 2 sides to this story and I'm only reading YOUR side. Something doesn't fit right with your story and I am withholding any further comments on this.

Well sir,All the evidence was up on my local board for hours friday morning.E- mails sent to providers(friends of mine) and providers name& ter # were given.Also pm's sent by hobbyist and providers were given to administration.The provider who admitted doing this , that thread existed (but prolly be deleted now)
My point by the tittle is that nothing was done and that it seems to be more of a popularity contest ie; i'm in the minority as I have many detractors due to the fact I mostly see bp providers.

Some people are fkin psycho and can't seperate hobby lfe from real life.
