I'm not sure how many hobbyists want to be able to talk with providers but for me it improves the GFE. It would be helpful if language proficiency were included in the rating system. I've noticed some agencies include this information on their provider profiles. If TER is unable to determine they could leave that piece of information as unknown. Trying to talk with a smart phone translation tool is not the preferable way to communicate.

I'd also like an explanation  of the methodology of TER's extrapolated rating system. Clearly it's not a straight arithmetic averaging as that is also shown for looks and performance. And what is the Chemistry and Location rating supposed to mean?

I agree. Have Google Translate with - Spanish, Russian, German dicts stored offline :-)

IMO
Chemistry -  how comfortable were you with provider
Location - how easy was it to get to, perhaps parking, how easy to get to room (some hotels have confusing layout)

Hope that helps

There is a field to specify LANGUAGES in the review form AND on the search form. I just don't notice it showing up as a DISPLAYED field in the Profiles, themselves.
.
I guess they're working on it??
.
EDIT: How can they NOT have Korean as a language choice? What are those guys at TER thinking?
K-girls are fairly numerous in the US due to the favorable visa requirements. I've got to think that Korean is more common than Arabic, Hindi and Japanese, all on the list. (Portuguese is spoken by many of our Brazilian visitors but I'm still thinking that K-girls outnumber B-girls.)

Was language on the profiles on the last version of TER? I don't remember it there, but I'm really not sure. If not, it could be like eye color. Eye color is on the form and in the search, but you'll see a lot of profiles without it. That's because it wasn't on the profile on old TER, and when you write a review of an existing provider here, all that stuff gets pre-populated. So, if she had a profile here before this new TER went live, her eye color isn't going to be listed unless she or someone else files a PR about it.

Maybe language is in the same boat? Maybe that's why you're seeing a lot of profiles that don't have it listed? I think if the profiles displayed "no information available" or something like that for these items, rather than simply not being there, we'd get more of them filled in.

but I have to completely agree with you about leaving out Korean as a language choice. Native Korean providers are popular enough to have their own damn discussion board, you'd think that as the most popular nationality of all the Asian providers here in the US that they would rate a place on the list.

There might be more Hindi, Arabic and Japanese speakers world wide, but relatively few of them are TER providers. I would have to say even among Asian providers Japanese would be a distant fifth place behind (in order) Korean, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese providers. (I admit it's possible that I have Chinese and Thai providers in the wrong order as there are a LOT of Thai providers working in the states too)
