Now Artest has decided to play Dennis Rodman??

His OWN reputation as a punk isn't great enough? :-(

I think he tried to dye it blonde and didn't realize it takes many times to go from dark brown/black to blonde hahahaha.  He looks like a mess as do most the Laker's.  Stupid bastards won today so I can't talk to much shit.

Durant shot 7 for 24 from the field. Artest sucks as an offensive player, but the Lakers use him to match up with the other teams offensive star. He is big and physical, and gets in your face, and in your head. This was an ugly game. Reminds me of the old Bulls and Pistons games from the late 80s and early 90s. Welcome to the playoffs where defense wins.

Rodman and Artest have one job to do....play defense.  Rodman may have been one of the worst role models in sports history, but he was VERY good at what he did on the court.  Artest is not far behind Rodman in the character column, but he had one job to do last night and that was to give Durant fits...which he did very well.

Defense wins titles.  Look at some of the best dynasties in NBA history;  Boston in the 60's playded GREAT defense (you ever look at Bill Russel's offensive stats?), the Lakers in the 80's (everyone always talks about Showtime and their fast breaks, but the defense set that up), the Bulls in the 90's (Jordan and Pippen were some of the best defenders in NBA history), and the Spurs (not much offensive pop, but played great team defense).

Rodman should be in the Hall of Fame, but his crazy behavior, including that wedding dress, will probably keep him out. Not only was Rodman a great defender, but the best rebounder I've ever seen, and that includes Chamberlain, Russell, and any other name you can mention.

Just to show you his focus on rebounding, he would watch film on the shots missed by the opposing players. He would track if the players tendency to miss was long, short, which side of the basket, spin of the basketball. Crazy off the court, but he was a very disciplined and focused player on the court.

year period where he was the best rebounder I ever saw and for his height and weight the best rebounder in league history.

In his prime, Rodman was the quickest - not the highest - jumper in the league and developed an awesome technique where he would tap the ball to where he could control it, as opposed to just going up to grab it.

Moses Malone in his prime was the best offensive rebounder I ever saw but I think Dennis was better overall.
