As a boxing fan my entire life, I can't wait for this fight to come off.  Maybe a fighter has finally come along that can shut Floyd's mouth.  Remember, Mayweather has not fought for 18 months and first must beat the tough Mexican fighter Marquez in July.  Too bad Roberto Duran wasn't young at still 140 lbs... what a dream fight he would be against either Pacman or Mayweather. Any input from bozing fans out there?

Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, well until the no mas fight. I preferred the light, welter and middle weight divisions vs the heavyweight division.

If they fight, I expect Mayweather to run for the majority of the fight.  Manny needs to be careful, but should be able to win the fight.

It would be great to see Pacquaio beat the hell out of Mayweather.  I really can't stand that big headed bimbo.  He is a good fighter obviously, he hasn't lost yet.  Hopefully Pacquaio can change that.

I still say the best action fight I ever saw was Ray Mancini vs Duk Koo Kim. It was terrible that Kim died but it wasn't surprising to me because they literally beat the crap outta each other for 15 rounds. I've never seen so many "hay-makers" land in one fight! If Kim hadn't died, people would talk about it as one of the best fights ever.

I have yet seen a fighter come out of retirement a win in a championship fight.  Manny will beat his ass

Tickets won't be available except for tix bought thru scalpers.  Casinos will claim all tickets for high rollers, etc.

Then again, Mayweather, for all his talent, is NOT a huge box office draw (his big selling fights were vs guys who puts asses in seats, DLH, Hatton, etc.), so maybe the public will be able to grab some.

I don't see Marquez giving Floyd problems.  Fight is at 147, which means a serious size discrepancy.  Original talk had it at catch weight of around 143.

As for Floyd's "big mouth," I honestly think a lot of that is a public persona.  I met Floyd years ago (was involved ion boxing for years) and he's never been anything but polite to me.

Anybody who wants to talk about ANYTHING that has to do w/ boxing, shoot me an email.  I LOVE talking boxing, even though I'm not as "in the loop" as I was 3 or 4 years ago.

Possibly the greatest fight I've ever seen, and it lasted less than 3 full rounds.  Find it on DVD and buy it if you can.  It is FREAKIN' amazing!

As for "in person," I was lucky enough to have a pass for the first Diego Corrales (RIP, my friend!) vs. Jose Luis Castillo (also was at second, but it paled given weight issues).  The 10th round of that first fight is something I will never forget.

Nice to see some real boxing fans out there who remember the great fighters from the past.  The young people today are much more interested in the UFC fights and the Mixed Martial Arts matches.  Sorry, I just can't get into them.  I agree with the fan above who mentioned the Mancini-Duke Koo-Kim fight. It was one of the most evenly matched fights ever fought with a tragic ending.  If title fights were 12 rounds then instead of fifteen, Kim probably would have been all right.  Of course, that fight changed that factor for future title fights.

There was a great interview the other day with Mayweather and Brian Kenney on ESPN. Hope this link works.

Are you serious? Manny has never and I repeat NEVER faced a fighter the caliber of PBF. Floyd is faster and stronger than MP imo and his defensive prowess is second to none, if they fight Manny will be counting the lights.
