But it's only the first game, so relax and enjoy a little.

I've never really liked the Broncos either, except for their colors.

I watched the Carolina Denver game and I was fuming as I saw Cam take helmet to helmet to helmet hit after hit.
If that's the only way the Broncos can win, I pity them. Thank God, Peyton retired and I don't give a fu about the Broncos any longer.

he bottom line is that there were prob, 2 hits that Cam took that should have been called a penalty but weren't. (one was really blatant). Because of the way Cam plays and his size/athletic ability (he;s prob. the best athlete on the field), he doesn't get the calls because the refs allow him to make plays and don't blow the whistle as fast as with other QB's. Also, he's a big part of the Panther rushing attack so Cam is often left exposed to big hits as a runner. So every game looks like Cam takes a pounding, but a lot of that is self induced.  Big Ben is similar to Cam in getting hit more than other QB's, though Ben tries to extend plays in the pocket, not as a runner.

I wouldn't classify the Broncos as "dirty". There were a couple of missed calls, but welcome to the NFL. Go to any stadium, any weekend, and there will be personal foul penalties left un-called.

Missed calls didn't cause the Panthers to loose. They had a second 1/2 lead facing an inexperienced QB. Conversely, the Panthers had the reigning league MVP at QB  and should have put the game away long before Gano's last second FG attempt. But it's the old adage in the NFL...if you let teams hang around into the 4th Quarter, you often don't get the job done.

The sports talk shows are all over this subject and they are right, it needs to be addressed. If any of those hits had been to a whining diaper wetting cry baby  QB like Tom Brady then the refs would have immediately thrown a flag.
But because Newton is super tough and he never complains about hits, refs think they don't need to throw a flag. It's bull shit and there will be a lot of discussion amongst  the refs and the NFL to make sure this doesn't keep happening.

There is still a good chance that some Broncos player will be fined money for those hits.
