Yes I saw that too. I’m a hawks fan since I was a little girl I was raised on them and they are on fire first two games. Sad got a hat trick first game back with them the other night. I def think the NHL is off to a great season!!!

the beginning of a new hockey season. Usually it's to see if Hockeytown (aka the home of my favorite team-the Detroit Red Wings) will celebrate another Stanley Cup run. But after last season, when the Wings missed out on the playoffs for the first time in a quarter century, coupled with the death of team owner Mr. Ilitch, there's a lot of questions in Mowtown.
The team opens up a brand new stadium, and there is quite a few new faces on the bench. I know it's early, but they have won 3 out of their first 4 games, so forgive me for having a little optimism. They are now headed to Vegas to play against the upstart Golden Knights (what a great story thus far) in the second game of back-to-back.
Hoping to start a new playoff streak, and to a raise another championship banner. What a way to decorate their new arena, and to pay homage to their late, great owner.

Prior to Detroit's migration to the Eastern Conference, Red Wings vs Blackhawks was one of the most intense rivalries in the NHL. You gotta love those Original Six grudge matches.
Oh yes I have a shirt with them both being a part of the original six. I was raised since I was a baby on hockey going to games. I remember how insane it was when chelios went to Detroit how upset Chicago got lol
Chelios became a fan favorite in both cities, although Chicago remained more than a little resentful that he went to the hated Red Wings.
Yes I was! My parents used to have season pass tickets since the 70s. I remember when there would be maybe 10000 ppl in the stadium lol
