Be careful when you throw around statements about "most women who have managers are trafficked" there are many reasons why they'd work for someone else. Personally I wouldn't want to give away half of my income but 25-30% is reasonable. I worked for an agency when I first started and honestly the jobs were more regular than starting out as an independent which I am doing now. And no I was not trafficked, nor abused. I walked away when it stopped working for me

Most women that have pimps are trafficked. However, there are some that say they use pimps for "protection". I don't believe that for second, but whatever. What I don't understand is why any woman would "choose" to work for an agency. Why give anyone half of your fee or any of your earnings for that matter? A lot of women I have seen that work for agency's are absolutely GORGEOUS. They could easily make $500 or more an hour being Independent. The agency has them at a $300 rate and they are only getting $150. What is the benefit of working for an agency? With technology these days I am surprised that agency's are still around. I am also surprised there are any women still working the streets.

What are your thoughts?

Olivia

Antonia, I am so glad you had a positive experience. I did not say "most women who have managers are trafficked" I said women with PIMPS are trafficked. A pimp and a manger are completely different. A pimp is a trafficker. Pimps do not have employees that they pay for having sex with men. They have sex slaves that are not paid for anything. They are abused and have no choice on who they see and how often. Not like an Agency where they give up a percentage and actually have control of their business. They see who they want, when they want. At least I would hope they would be able to through an Agency.

Thanks for sharing the benefits of an "Agency" that was the purpose of this post. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Olivia

I have a great friend who works for Swedish Harmony based in Europe.

She travels and tours Europe and Australia frequently and needs someone to coordinate travel, accommodations and scheduling. Traveling extensively and working is exhausting and having an assistant (agency) do the mundane and necessary tasks that need to be done is well worth their fee.

This is not pimping in any way. This is strictly administrative work.

All the women who work for this agency are amazing and well worth spending time with if you have the chance.
