If you're using an app to correspond with hobbyists, I would advise getting a new number within the app. Then updating all your info. If you're using your personal phone number and you have an iphone, there's a block feature.

If that doesn't work, just tell him you don't plan on seeing him and it's in his best interest to stop all communication with you.
