Is it really dead this time? Collins says no to Trumpcare.

They tried to bribe her by sweetening the amount Maine would get but Collins says the bill is too deeply flawed, as was the process by which it was created.  So looks like the latest effort is dead.
Batten down the hatches for Donnie's tweet storm.

It will never be completely dead as long as Trump the crypt keeper is in office..He won't let it die..

We will never give up on saving the country from this socialist, non-sense piece of ill-gotten legislation.

We will continue to win elections. The John McCains will be rendered irrelevant.

As long as it has the inkling of the name Obama associated with it, republicans will always try to repeal it. See it isn't the bill itself, it's the nickname that it's saddle with. This is the one bill that just pissses off republicans. I think this irks them to no end.
I like Jimmy Kimmels suggestion, call it Ivanka Care, there easy fix.

If Strange loses in AL, there will be 2 big defeats suffered. He thinks this NFL brouhaha will distract everyone from his loss of face! ;)

One thing's for sure, he's not tired of whining.

Even with a super majority, they couldn't get shit done.

The Republiscum (I don't want to be accused of only insulting the Dims) are proving themselves to be almost as feckless as the class of 08,

BUT, keep in mind, with the help of Obama's lies, ACA was eventually passed. I am sure NO ONE here doubts Trump's ability to lie with the best of them, so maybe an act that was passed by a lie/liar can be repealed the same way in time.

The Dimmycrats were fairly feckless in '09 and should have gotten much more done.  That said, they passed not only the ACA but a large infrastructure bill plus Dodd/Frank.  Now, you may not like any of this but you can't deny they are accomplishments; real laws we still live under today.  The Republiclowns and Trump can't claim any of that.
Also recall that the Senate Dems never really had a working supermajority because they had to cater to their right wing, such as Ben "Nighthorse" Campbell who helped screw up the ACA, plus shortly thereafter Teddy Kennedy fell ill and never returned to the Senate.
In sum, I'd say that feckless as the Dems may have been, the Reps are proving to be "fecklesser."  LOL.
As an old friend once said, they "don't have enough feck."

If they didn't. They would be crucified by their own members. Republicans tend to be more individualistic, which doesn't help when trying to pass a major bill with a slim majority but aligns with their constituents.

I wouldn't be to quick to jump to conclusions concerning the democrats so called "accomplishments". I think the 2018 midterm elections will be very telling and will help the republicans pass needed legislation when it's all said and done. I don't see the Dems gaining any seats in 2018.

The Dems did NOT get ACA passed in 09, it was 2010 before ACA was finally passed. and the Dems had a clear mandate that the Reps have never had under Trump.

Dodd Frank also was not passed until 2010. As for that infrastructure bill, all those "shovel ready jobs" that Obama promised NEVER came to pass, not in 2009, not in 2010, not EVER. So you aren't "almost completely wrong" you are "completely wrong" Big fucking surprise, right?

1) Teddy Kennedy died in August 2009 so the supermajority was gone at that point (actually before that, as he hadn't sat in the Senate since the spring) and they STILL got the bill passed. So basically, the so-called supermajority never really existed. If Teddy hadn't died the bill would have been much better, BTW.  Also, I also agreed the Dems were feckless anyway so your reading of my post is selective and tendentious. So that's a win for me.
2) So what if Dodd/Frank wasn't passed until 2010?  The point is, they got it done and the Reps have gotten jack squat done. Another win for Jake.
3) All I said about the infrastructure bill was they got it passed.  So whether or not any "shovel ready jobs" created is irrelevant.  That said, I call bullshit on your premise that no shovel-ready jobs were created.  The entire northeast where I live went on a highway-paving binge and I am still riding on nice, new, smooth interstates as a result.
Jake wins.  GaGa loses.  As usual. LOL.

At least until after the midterms.  Mitchey announced they are moving on to "the most comprehensive tax reform"  in decades.  That too will of course fail.
