the disgusting factor is they lie to everyone (including sometimes themselves I believe) that they are impartial. There are countless people that believe they are listening to/watching impartial reporting. Shame on them for being so gullible but shame on the media far more.

The media in general and the NYT in particular is very concerned about a DUI beef the iron worker husband of the VP candidate had 22 yrs ago when he was 22 yrs old.

Presidential candidate Barack Obama admits to taking cocaine and drinking heavily at the same age.

It is a big deal that Palin's husband drank too much and got pulled over, but it's NOT a big deal that Obama the presidential candidate bought, ingested and sold drugs.

That's what I call being in the satchel. The NYT is going tits up because it has become a farce.

It is actually sad that institutions like the N.Y.Times have become so partisan.  In the old days there were repsected sources of information.

In Europe the papers make no pretense of being neutral.  There are liberal and conservative papers.  But you know where they are coming from and can evaluate what they say in that light.  

here they pretend to be neutral, and when their partisanship shows threw it is a greater discredit.

He was not harshing anyone's buzz by dudgeoning high at all. I was just glad to see him stop squeezing Nancy Pelosi's thigh long enough to go on the tube and say something that wasn't about climate change and other goofiness.

He is kinda smart but very smug. He's much smugger than he is smart. It's a wonder Newtie's not a Democrat.

I also agree with the other guys that the problem is the media pretending to be objective. I was riled at MSNBC until I figured out that in response to the success of right wing radio, they have become left wing TV. That's cool. Just tell us where you're coming from. Don't make believe you're playing it down the middle.

Im glad NG that enough time to put down his copies of "Future Shock" and "The Third Wave" and "The Greening Of America" to make such a pointed observation.  And to make them to such applause and approbation!  

Yep, nothing like dealing with pure, unadulterated political genuis.  We should be honored that Newt deigns to bless the peasant masses with his laser-like insights.

My like seems so much fuller and richer for it. A pity he forgot to mention Clinton's "not inhaling" while he was at it.

What ashame BHO never ran afoul of the authories, but Newt's high dudgeon will just have to suffice.

why did he NOT choose to sharwe with the rest of us?

1. cause preceeds effect

2. when you eat too much and exercise too infrequently, you tend to gain weight

3. the sun rises in the east and sets in the west

4. when you spend all you cash, lose all your assets and property, and max out your line[s] of credit, you end up broke

5. if you fall in the water, you get wet

6. jumping in front of a speeding truck is dangerous

7. dry-shaving is painful

8. people generally restrict trips to the beach to the warm weather months

9. banging your head against a wall really hurts and sometimes damages the wall

10 . considering Newton Gringrich an intellect or thinker of any type, instead of a has-been, embittered political hack who has well-overstayed his time in the spotlight, and whose scholarship seems curiously restricted to things like "Future Shock" is a mistake
