"According to the suit, Ms. Hughes was “shocked and ashamed” and did not immediately report the incident. She said that over the next two years she was forced to engage in a sexual relationship with Mr. Payne. In exchange, she said, she received career opportunities, including increased appearances on Fox News and Fox Business and the promise that Mr. Payne would help her land a contributor contract, a job that can pay several hundred thousand dollars a year. Ms. Hughes never became a paid contributor at either channel."

Perhaps he did rape her, but how can she make such a claim, then carry on having sex with him for what clearly appears to be career advancement. It appears that once she got the message that the promises of a contributor contract were not forthcoming, only then she ended the relationship. I would not want to be her lawyer. Sounds like a losing case. I have no doubt that there are many women who have experienced the same, and for the same reasons. Not to make light of it, but the old saying of taking lemons and making lemonade; having something that traumatic happen to you, feeling powerless to retaliate, yet seeing an opportunity to get ahead career wise, and hopefully a better life. But, I can't imagine many juries would come back with a guilty verdict. Perhaps, she and her lawyer are just pushing for a monetary settlement.

The whole fucking network is made up of rapists..degenerates..kooks and racists..Trump voters eat it up..

Re: Silly me! And, here I thought Fox was the 'Family Value' network...
for the 'Family Value' party! ;)

She exchanges consensual sex for career advancement.  Not a very popular defense for jurors because women are always considered "victims" in this situation.  It really only works if Fox can show she's sleeping with other executives at the same time.  Her rape allegations are just puffery.  I don't know of too many women that would continue to have a sexual relationship with their rapist, let alone not immediately reporting it.   Juries aren't entirely stupid.

Fox will settle for few million.

... of BBC vs. White Chick, which is also the plot of every porn movie ever made.  A white chick is afraid of a black man until she sees his big black cock and then she just can't help herself.  Verdict for the defendant.
