Here's this morning's NY Times article on Reid's crusade against Nevada brothels.  They can't figure out any reason why he's doing it.  Not one person the Times talked to supports his effort.

that he's punishing the rural counties where these brothels are located, because his wackjob opponent in the election, Sharron Angle, heavily carried those counties.

IMO, what Reid has proposed is VERY dumb.

OTOH, my experiences with brothels have been lousy. I much prefer the company of Vegas indy
providers; had a great time with them----:)

What kind of chickenshit would brag about great times with Vegas providers, yet have no reviews?
A cockalorum chickenshit.

Sorry if you're jealous. Of course, "Quadimoto", your posts would have more merit if you didn't hide behind a "chickenshit alias". As said earlier, your moronic posts always give away your identity, despite the aliases.

The link below shows that I'm not the only one here who thinks you're a moron----:)

Tell me it isn't so.!!!.You actually thought CockalorumDetector was intended to hide my identity??? That was mighty dim of you.
Just when I thought you couldn't get any dimmer, you cut off the light.
Like I've said before, one of the first signs of mental illness, the inability to recognize  obvious sarcasm.

I started my career working in the brothels in Carson city and Winnemucca, NV, and I know that they are a very large tax base for the State of Nevada. It would not make sense to outlaw one of the more profitable industries in a State that been hit so hard in this economy....I worked in them for years, and I don't have a bad thing to say about these brothels. It was an amazing time in my life that I'll always remember. It is my understanding that they have changed through the years, but I imagine they haven't changed that much...

If prostitution were legalized overall, it would allow those who are not able to run their own business a safe a regulated place to work. Not to mention, a wonderful education and the ability to learn in a short time, information that you would never be able to obtain on the outside. This is one of the very few ways that this art is passed down. Also, the caliber of the women would increase, as it would allow more law abiding women, to enter this industry. Because prostitution is current illegal in the rest of the United States, it goes unregulated, thus encouraging the spread of communicable diseases, and trafficking of under-aged workers and illegals...It isn't going away....Let me say this again...this isn't going away! And to be honest, even the law makers are human, it seems......so I'm always amazed at how loudly they protest...(almost as loud as they moan...!)

Many if not most men in power, with the authority to make or enforce laws, have had a history of control issues, especially so, where womens rights are concerned.
If men could easily rent their bodies, for the purpose of carnal knowledge, freedom to work as a provider, would have been written in our Bill of Rights.

I have spoken to former brothel workers who left and did just fine on their own. They didnt have particularly nice things to say about the rules  both client and employee were forced to keep though.
After hearing the stories Ive been convinced I would never be interested in visiting one of the Nevada brothels. I mean dental dams for daty for Gods' sake..why bother?
However you made some very good points about education and safety. I have to say I agree with you that the brothels do offer some redeeming features. I just wish the revenue split was better for the girls and they were not confined like delinquents to a reform school when they work for a period of days.
I certainly agree with your position that prostitution should be legalized but working out the conditions is complicated as there are so many variables.
For example, for truly high end professionals like yourself, this wouldnt necessarily be a good develepment. There would be, in some cases, poorly trained unqualified competion.
You might loose some clients and might have to continue to impress others of your high standards. This is nothing youre not doing now but you could have a magifying glass focused on yourself. This would be a sad development and I would feel bad for you to be honest.
I think though you could maintain a very attractive comfortably done incall for example, taking appiontmetns like any other professional. It would be a start I think.
Good luck to you Kristen.

As the population has grown faster in the LV area, than in the rural counties (that benefit from the brothels).

I could see a movement to making prostitution illegal everywhere in the state.
