It may have signaled a shift in US attitudes towards Assad, with trump cozying up to him and the Russians only days before. But it was short lived and Trump is back to trying to work with the Russians for a solution to the Syrian civil war that includes Assad staying in power.
Hillary said it was a good idea. After eight years of strategic patience and girly red lines nothing says weakness like a missile strike. And this strengthens Assad how? Man up snowflake or retreat to your safe place.
