I can't change what is happening, but I am responsible for me. And I have decided to be good to people. Tipping every chance I get from carrying my groceries to the car to the Waffle House waitress. I will smile at everyone that needs one. I will hug the broken and kiss the hurt. I will leave people better than I found them. Love lives here and unity makes me cry because my spirit has been so broken by bullying and division. It gives me hope for a better future to see our ex living Presidents on stage as human beings. The validation of how we are feeling scattered as Americans.

My "spirit" doesn't rise and fall because of who is in the White House. Are you saying you were NOT good to people before? I don't know about you but I have ALWAYS tipped the Waffle House waitress and every one else in the service industry, high priced hookers the exception to that rule of course. lol
I hope you realize that more bullying is coming from the left than from the right. it's the radical left that bullies people into silence, or at least attempts to. Have you ever heard of a "state of emergency" being called because of counter protests to any left wing events? The right may have their faults, but they are certainly more tolerant about allowing others to speak their views that you "open minded" lefties
yes I have always been good to everyone, especially the service industry. But I am extra kind today. I go to Waffle House every Sunday morning and give my server $10. I tell the bagger at Publix that is not supposed to take tips, but is also not supposed to decline a gift. I always say after the last bag, let me gift you with this. I give hugs to strangers. People are wanting connection. I give them that for a brief moment.

...Well I guess I must be one of them (glass half full ) guy's because despite all the strife both from nature & man made events I notice all of the goodness that people have to offer, the donors & volunteer helpers deserve the thanks of us all. The empty part of the glass is represented by people that continue petty bickering & divert attention from solutions.
