In order to get a gun license a person must have a waiver from spouse or any ex's. Why can't we adopt that simple rule? All mass shooters are men with mental problems. What better way to check and balance than talk to the people that are/were closest to the person that would like to own a gun for home protection? It would immediately make it harder for people that abuse others domestic violence, mentally unstable.

I think to get a gun license you should have to do what I did: have a thorough background check to ensure you have no outstanding warrants or convictions that would disqualify you from gun ownership. I also had to have four of my neighbors write character references for me.
because I was raised in the country and ultimately ended up back there, what I call home. But let someone think I am naïve and bust through my door like an animal. I am prepared to shoot first, even a child that chose a thug life; and take my chances with a jury of 12.

I didn't claim to be a badass. I claimed I am not as naïve as you believe. If someone comes in my "safe place" while I am at home. I will equalize with the animal and fire a shotgun in the direction first. If he is lucky he will run like hell. Never underestimate someone that has been the victim of animals.

Canadians have this all wrong. So an Ex is going to grant a waiver so her ex can carry a gun and maybe use it on her? What if she doesn't grant him with waiver, he finds out she rolled him over and the next thing you know, he goes machete on her....She'd wished he had used a gun. Nah, this ideal sucks...sorry
