That's not even remotely their job.
In reality though, we know why. They have been infiltrated by Leftists along with every other institution of power that is not overtly conservative. They are completely worthless and should be disbanded.

The only reason a simple majority is required in this case is because this bill is supposed to have no impact on the deficit after ten years. In order to figure that out, the CBO needs to calculate the financial impact of the bill, if enacted. To do that, the CBO needs to estimate how many people will gain or lose coverage as a result of the bill.
It doesn't take an Einstein to understand this. Clearly, you are far from an Einstein.
It is their job, I agree. Unfortunately their track record of predicting the number of people getting insurance on the exchanges is poor.
But their track record in other areas has been pretty good and they are non-partisan.
The Congressional Budget Office is a federal agency within the legislative branch of the United States government that provides budget and economic information to Congress.
