to attack America.

And you, with your level-headed and even-keeled approach to President Bush (lol), have decided that based on that memo alone he should have been able to stop a plot that had been in the works for years!!!!

Boy, if only I could come to conclusions as easily as you do . . . . . .

For all the Bush bashers, that complain that George Bush took to many vacations, in only 1 1/2 years Obama has took 41 golf outings vs George Bush 24 in 8 years.

Now how are the Bush bashers going to blame George for this?

The former community organizer’s 41 trips around the links – a standard of recreational activity well beyond the budgets of most Americans – compares to only 24 total outings for former President George W. Bush, according to statistics compiled by White House chronicler Mark Knoller of CBS News. Bush, whose golf outings were used to help deride him as a callow, lazy, rich boy, played his 24th and last round on Oct. 13, 2003, saying he was ending the practice out of respect for the families of Americans killed in Iraq.

Maybe Dick Cheney would be willing to teach them how it's done?

No WONDER you're so pissed--------that gives you 3 options : you can go for mass Obama bumper sticker removals, caddy on the golf course for George W Bush,
or, start a petition for NC to secede from the Union---------;)

during his presidency..

"he will have spent 490 of his 2,922 days in office there, said Mark Knoller of CBS News, an unofficial record-keeper of the president's travels".

your boy TexASS W.....the clear winner!!!!

Don't care if it is golf or vacation, he takes the cake of being a true slacker....probably because it was "Mission Accomplished"....right!

An average of over 115-130 "vacation" days per year depending upon your source.  That is about 1/3 a year on "vacation"....great work if you can find it.  You can also get the "vacation" info from Mr. Knoller and others.

Make sure you try to list all of the facts and not pick and choose.

Wrong again Cigar.

Since taking office Obama has taken two official vacations, one to Hawaii, one to Martha's vinyard.

In addition to the official vacations there have been weekend getaways to Paris, and another to New York. A 4 day trip to Yellowstone, the Royal Gorge, and the Grand Canyon. And finally, there was a weeklong trip to Egypt. And there are at least a few others that I'm forgetting due to the late hour.

Cite your source please regarind the 115-130 days average. It is wildly off base, so I'd love to know where it came from.

Ric wrote the following as a comment to article I linked to in my first post:

Crawford was know as the white house south. It has a complete administrative setup that was built and paid for by the Bush’s and not on tax payer dollars. Camp David is a complex used by presidents to have very intense strategy sessions away from the public and in solitude, which takes me back to Crawford where Bush had over 500 official meetings with important people such as military leaders, foreign dignitaries and the like that he needed to get away from the Washington scum to get things done without lobbyists and other such influences. While Obama takes the family to actual vacation spots like Cape Cod and Maine. don’t forget the date night in NY at the price of over 2 million dollars to the folks.

So Obama goes out for a few hours on the weekend to play golf. Big deal. Doesn't compare to W's record of vacation time.  During his time in office W took 149 trips totaling 487 days to Camp David, 77 trips for 490 day in Crawford and another 43 days at the family compound in  Kennebunkport, Maine. In all he spent
1020 days --  more than one-third of his presidency -- on vacation.  Part of the legendary Bush family work ethic. His father took 543 days of vacation in only four years in office.

No POTUS is ever truly on vacation, the job is a 24/7 one. I don't really give a fuck how many supposed vacation a POTUS takes, I care how much good, or harm he causes while in office. The number of rounds of golf or hours fishing is completely irrelevant to me.

Of course in the case of our current POTUS, I hope he goes on a permanent vacation and takes that idiot Biden with him.

People who bashed Bush for his vacations were idiots, the same holds true for those that measure Obamaa by the same, ridiculous standard.

Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama had spent more time vacationing, not less.
Wish Mr. Bush had taken a vacation instead of invading Iraq and Afghanistan and that Mr. Obama had done so instead of pushing thru the health care plan that we don't really need at the cost.

But any "vacation" is illusory as G points out since they are on call 24/7.

It is usually scandal- not vacation - that robs us of the honest services of our president. By many accounts, Nixon was almost completely inactive as president during the months leading to his resignation and there are similar stories about Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, although he did find time to drop a couple of cruise missiles on that aspirin factory in Africa.
