John Edwards looks like he will make a good President in eight years.

Let's elect him VP first and see how he does in that job.

It would have been better if Edwards was running for president. He would have had a better chance to beat Bush rather than a lefty like Kerry.

Self-confident, charismatic, articulate and quick on his feet.

He will contrast well with Cheney, whose approval ratings are substantially lower than Bush's, and who a lot of Americans find just plain scary.

He's the only one among the four people on the two tickets who is a self-made man.  His father was textile mill worker.  Like me, he was the first person in his family to go to college.

My prediction: you'll see a lot of him on MTV.  He has great appeal to young voters.

He also has appeal in the "battleground" states in the Midwest (and actually does better there than in the deep South).

Bush's people have good reasons to fear him.

He won't even deliver his home state!  I couldn't be more pleased, if you remember he was my first choice.  He makes Kerry look even more like the guy you buy coffins from, and his ability in the debates will be a treat!  Cheney will eat him like ice cream.

Fear him, yea, we fear him.  Its just too perfect, two of the most leftest liberals from the Senate on the same ticket, a dream come true for the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign.  Only thing that would have been better is Michael Moore or Jessie Jackson!  lol

He's going to help deliver some southern states no question....You're quite confident in Cheney, with the background as a trial lawyer Edwards will win most if not all debates against a stiff like Cheney.....

You have got to be kidding about the most leftist liberal in Edwards, Howard Dean perhaps, but no way Edwards....He's definitely moderate....Only the Coulter's, Limbaugh's etc. of this world could label Edwards as an extreme leftist......

I was at a charities ball in North Carolina when he was first elected as Senator. He is an extremely articulate man and a quiet fighter -- something to be feared and admired.

For some reason, almost everytime your post something it looks silly to me.  Maybe I don't get your brand of humor or contempt, or whatelva! But then again, maybe your posts are truly silly.

Don't wait till the day after elections.

BTW, he was my first choice, too.

You most likely missed Edwards in the democratic debates, he was dreadful.  Uninformed and inarticulate!  Smiled a lot though.

His "two America's rant", delivered from sea to sea wasn't even enough to beat a corpse like Kerry, and considering that it came from such a rich guy most likely rang pretty shallow with the working class.  That he got rich suing OB/GYN doctors resulted in higher medical costs and fewer OB/GYN doctors practicing in North Carolina and Tennessee (where he practiced) will not play well either.

Most North Carolina political observers didn't think he would even win his own reelection.  Pardon me, but it doesn't seem to formidable.

I think I will shine the prozac and spend my pharmaceutical budget on Viagra and providers!

John Edwards is a bloodsucking ambulance chaser and that's putting it nicely.  Medical malpractice insurance is driving the price of healthcare thru the roof.  There has to be a cap and say goodbye to that if Edwards and Kerry are in office.

Well, if those right-wing Republican doctors weren't so inept and focusing more on their golf game at the country club instead of medicine, medical malpractice insurance wouldn't be so high, now would it?

On a bad ticket, he would have strengthened it.  At least no one could say that he was experientially unqualified to assume the job, which is the most compelling wrap on Kerry.
