NOTHING! no budget for 770+ days.  no debates on anything of relevance.
why did the reid get re-elected? having the seat vacant is better thanhim there.
the problem is the country is suffering while the dems play politics. they can't govern but are willing to blow this country downfor their purposes.....let's vote all dems senate out of office....and also make the o a one-termer....the country needs it.

Democrat control of the Senate is very vulnerable in 2012.  They have a large number of seats to defend, many retirements, etc. Of course we are talking about senators here.  Same douche bags, different party.

Absolutely nothing. Instead they try to push the cracked Paul Ryan medicare revamp which the public hates & will take out on GOP congressmen by sending them to premature retirements. But, don't take my word for it;check link below for generic congress matchups which show Dems with tiny leads.

Ahhhhh, nuguy & OC------the moronic Siamese twins of the far right--------LOL !

You may not like it, and it may be flawed, but at least the GOP has come up with proposals on Medicare and the budget.

It was voted down, but at least they had a proposal.

Let's at least have a counter proposal.

They also have done nothing about jobs, and even spent the first few weeks of their tenure as rulers of the House in a misbegotten effort to repeal Obamacare.  They knew it had no chance of passing the Senate or being signed by Obama.  They did it anyway.  Talk about dithering!

The last 30 months that Obama has been president and has ignored the job situation isn't important.

The four years that the Democrats controlled both houses isn't important.

The last 5 months that the Republicans took control of one house in the most super-duper important thing in the world and everything is now their fault.

Thank you for putting words in my mouth.  Really.  It must be nice to be able to debate someone by doing that.  Then you can rebut statements they never made and win lots of debates. Nice job!
1)  I did not and do not absolve Obama, though he has not "done nothing."  Ever hear of the stimulus package?  If he hadn't done that the economy would be in nuclear winter.  Still, he could have done more and, even though the crash happened before he  took office, he owns it now.
2) The Dems had a chance to pass a budget last year and didn't.  Shame on them
3) The Reps have, indeed, done dick about the economy.  Never said that made it all their fault.
Next  time try not lying and then pretending I actually said it.
BTW, was what you said soooo awful you had to hide behind an alias?

Do you really believe the stimulus package helped the economy or saved jobs?  It was a massive slush fund that helped keep Willy's pension bubble over. They used the money for their own purposes. Not the greater good.  There were no "shovel ready" jobs.  There was no investment to create an environment that would create or sustain jobs.  It was the government doing what they always do- piss money away.

We've got 9% unemployment, and the GOP has yet to produce a jobs bill. Their budget plan replaces Medicare with coupons and cuts taxes on the rich to pre-Great Depression levels. The rest of the time they've done nothing but pass or try to pass bills curtailing abortion.

9% unemployment and a foreclosure crisis and all these delusional freaks can come up with are anti-abortion bills...and that's when their Majority Leader in the House doesn't have to have it explained to him how a bill becomes law.

The GOP behaves like incompetent spoiled children. I guess that's why their base loves them.

From the donkeys mouth, released  March 2011
"Medicare's primary Trust Fund reaches zero in 2020"

Most democrat voters are ignorant of facts, while spreading lies. The Democrat super majority made the economy worse, not better.
New Home construction at all time low. Foreclosures at all time high.Unemployment rising.
Not the change America was hopium for.

Obamacare took 500 billion from Medicare, soon to be realized in 2014.

Obama is the only Democrat with enough gumption to come up with a budget. His own Democrats voted him down.

Ryan's plan would SAVE Medicare , not allow it to disappear.

Ignorant Democrat Voters don't see Government Unions acting as a Praetorian Guard, while  protecting their lazy, inefficient, corrupted  workers.

The private sector is now more productive, with less workers.

Eliminate 75% of pencil pushing government workers, and their Unions. The other 25% will have to work for a change, that will benefit America.

at least they don't banter cooked up numbers like Palin, et al. Every single statistics Republicans come up with are manufactured by their cronies and benefactors.

You are going to come back and say, prove it. The answer is there is way too many, none of you folks are going to accept true numbers so, why bother.

Accurate numbers only comes out the likes of Palin, who doesn't have the foggiest of foggiest of clue, people follow her like some kind of savior and you call democratic voters stupid.

Boy, that is amazing to accuse the GOP of cooking numbers.

And how about the fiction of "Jobs created and/or saved."

Totally make up.

I'm trying to understand this world you see. (Raising taxes isn't a Democrat thing, California isn't controlled by liberals, There's plenty of money to throw at Gov. employees, etc., etc.).  It's like a Bizarro Superman comic or that Star Trek episode where the alternate-Spock was rocking that cool goatee.  Your reality is COMPLETELY off.

Since Jan, 2009 (and 2 years before that) this has been "Willy Time".  The Democrats have been in control and the entire USA is turning into California- A total shit hole.  Now that the Republicans took over one house a few months ago your blaming the Obama Depression..er, economy on the Republicans again.

Unless you're a useless, overpaid government cog or working the McNugget station at McDonalds this economy is totally fucked and is the result of Democrats.

not unless they are govt jobs. Willy, you need to get off this kick that Dems or Reps can save the day and create jobs. Ain't going happen. Oh they may potentially create a better environment, i.e. don't bash business, don't over regulate, but at the end of the day, companies will create jobs when they are good and ready.

Here is one factoid that you need to know. Companies annual revenues are pretty close back to pre-recession levels. You would think they would hire to pre-recession levels to handle the increased business. First, companies are hiring, but most of it is overseas. That's where they are getting their growth. Second, here in the U.S. they can do more revenue with less employees. They've done a pretty good job of streamlining their operations, primarily through technology.

You also need to understand the the bulk of the unemployed don't have the education, skills or competencies. What are you going to do with them? Eventually they can get a service sector job which pays minimum wage, but that's about it. It is what it is willy.

There are a few posters I purposely avoid, because you realize it's just a waste of bandwidth. Seriously, thanks for the reminder.

you have a way of making money - and as we all know (well, most of us anyway), money talks.

On the other hand, there are those who will say "It ain't so" just because they haven't made it work for them. They look at those who are doing "it" (whatever "it" is) and say, "It's impossible." They doubt their eyes and ears, or just plain shut them.

Ah well. As the old saying goes, "Those who will not see are worse off than those who are blind and cannot see."

Except himself of course. if one of his relatives were to drop dead and Willy all of a sudden became rather solvent, he would probably start talking out of the other side of his mouth.

Until then, talking/debating/arguing with WW is largely a waste of time.
