Not to believe everything you read without doing at least a modicum of independent research/fact checking.

I find myself constantly scratching my head when many of my extremely liberal friends/acquaintances repost a link to some random political article on Facebook or Twitter because of it's catchy headline. When I click to actually read the article in full, neither the author or the source have any credibility what so ever...

But I digress...

I came across a reposted article a little while ago on Facebook (having nothing at all to do with politics). The individual who shared the article happens to be the most frequent offender of posting "malarkey" (thanks dad for the colorful noun) on my newsfeed.

"GET READY! THE BRIGHTEST METEOR SHOWER IN THE RECORDED HUMAN HISTORY IS HAPPENING"
So I was curious, why this one is going to be so much brighter than others. IT'S NOT!!! On the contrary, the moon being 3/4 full (waning from the full moon on the 7th) means the sky will be very bright on the peak days of the Perseids shower this year making for a less impressive viewing experience.

She has obviously either only read the heading, or if she did read the entire article..."I've got a bridge to sell her"

That being said - the moral of the story is:
Try to remember that often what we read on here (about providers and/or clients) is malarkey! This is why providers prefer multiple references. This way we can get a first hand account of what type of client you are, and the more ladies we can inquiry, the better we are able to read between the lines. (There's always outliers)

GO OUTSIDE ON AUGUST 12th ANYWAY and remind yourselves that we are all made of stardust and a bit of magic.

Thank You Madison,

What you say very true. 3 sides to every story when it comes to people. His side, her side and the truth. Much of what we read is embellished or based on embellishes "facts". Thank you for reminding everyone.

Christine

....very, very true.   Thanks for the thoughtfulness in posting it!

unfortunately , the internet has become the place to spread rumors under the guise of news. 90% of news you read on the internet is fake. I know this because I read it on the internet.

If it wasn't true.

"The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never tell if they're genuine" - Winston Churchill 1944

"Nikola Tesla is the only man I have ever known whose genius eclipses my own." Leonardo DA Vinci once tweeted that.

This was in the early days before the annoying character limits.

Ol' Leo was also the very first X Files agent. Check it out.

And I'm sure right now ol' Al is raising an eyebrow and saying "and I can take it away, too."
