In Seattle Hobbyist & Providers meet on Thursdays for what is now termed Goli-oke. A meet and greet. It is picked in advance at a Karaoke bar and it give us all a chance to sing, dance and have alot of fun. I am not from Seattle but have flown there for a couple of times and just had a blast meeting so many fun people.

A very well known provider is having a party for the providers to meet this Sunday. I will be there and I am going to ask the ladies what would be a good day that way we can all try to be there. I think it is due and we can have a gr8t time!

HON~ You know I'll go out of my way to be there!  Let's be sure that Michelle's invited, too, OK?  It has been awhile.

I am willing to take one for the Team and offer my services as a “chaperone” for the provider's party. I think it is essential that we understand how the "better half" lives. Note, this is only offered in the furtherance of science and not for any personal gain.

That sounds wonderful, however, as much as meeting you and some of the other gals in person in a casual enviroment would be, I'd be a fraid to meet some of the other hobbiest in an all out open to the public atmosphere with alcohol. Especially amongst some of the obvious freaks this hobby attracts, ei...northern illinios dud.... (wink) Call me a "glass half empty guy", but it seems like a recipe for trouble. LE, Jealous hobbiests and ex-boyfriends, etc... Now if was a private invitation only affair...maybe. This is just my opinion and is not neccessarily the opinion of my other brain which often does the thinking for me...especially after a couple Heinekens.

If you run you will eventually be found. I got a bit nervous with the ChGuy situation but I am not one who is going to run from anyone. I have even been followed twice last year. Going home and to driving school. The creeps are just out there no matter what. It can happen anywhere. People need to know how to defend themselves physically and emotionally. And if one may be in danger its good to let as many people know the situation so they can watch out for you.
If there are going to be people nervous at this get together then maybe it is not a good idea. I can understand the need for a private invitation so that certain people do not go that are not wanted. But I also feel that with enough people around, someone would have to be very dumb to try and pull a fast one. Everyone shoudl jsut make sure that they do not go alone and they have a designated driver if the want to drink.
Should this be a private invitation? Well, Ill meet the girls tonight and see what they think....I just thought this would be a lot of fun. It is good to match faces with names

I too have a similar concern. For some of us however, we are not VIP members here (may not be able to receive a PM) and also, the providers that we have seen may not know us by our handle here, which could cause some problem in an invitation only affair. I do like the thought of being able to meet and speak with some of the women who I have not met yet but have been thinking about. I am sure we can find a solution................

I don't have any concerns since I never do anything illegal.  As far as danger to myself that is funny.  I want to be the first to volunteer as not only Skys bodyguard but Madisons also.  I will spend all night watching their every move.

I had an open party in June and it turned out great.  There weren't any problems with any of the gentlemen and everything was on the up and up.  You aren't doing anything wrong by getting a bunch of people together for a good time. I think meeting is a great idea and would love to come.  I've heard so many great things about the independents here in Phoenix and would love to meet them personally!

Okay kids enough banter, pick a time and place and do it.

I was at that Party it was a blast.  Taylor is quit a lady and I would love seeing her. I am still waiting for her next party.

Since you were so kind to recommend Barcelona's to me in an earlier post how about there? And I'l buy the first round!

I'd love to joing the festivities - just name the place and time. I missed TLC's bash but by all accounts it was quite a success.

I feel very very bad to have to say this but I met with the ladies Friday evening and it does not seem that anyones schedule is going to allow such a thing in the near future. A lot of woman are leaving town and such. I am very sorry. But... I know that there are usually Christmas parties and such so I hope that we can all try again very soon.

You are such a doll!  I would love to entertain the idea of a meet and greet, no work involved....just friends and fun....Also, I happen to be a karaoke junkie and would love to see that idea take place.  Sounds like a blast.....maybe those interested should e-mail the providers and we can all get together and talk more outside the actual board...???
