I would like to meet certain providers but most of them want at least 2 references. How do I get them if I have never been with a provider that has reviews or gives references. I have to be discreet on who I meet and how they want to check on me. Any info would be appreciated.
preferred 411. They will verify your work discretely (and so will some providers). Its really not that bad, they call the general number and then ask for you. They will also ask for your company's web site and see if they can find you on the web site. Primarily they are trying to make sure you are not LE.
There are also some providers that will take non referenced clients, but it is getting more difficult to find them. You can also put up an ISO (in search of) post asking for a provider that takes newbies or verifies with alternative methods. I spent a year trying to get references. The most important thing to do is get one that has a web site, because once they agree to give you a reference the next provider will want to contact that provider through their email or web site.
On date check the providers advertise if the take all members or members with X number of references. If you find one that takes all members, then they should agree to "friend" you on date check and the next provider will see that when the look up your profile.
I have met two providers that "screen" people based on their communication skills. My first provider that required references liked the way I composed my list of references with the details on how I met them she decided not to call any of them and just took my word. Another provider simply told me that's how she screened, she read my email, it was sufficiently detailed and well written, and then she called me on the phone and we talked for about 10 minutes.

Thank you. I will try that. I work construction so I can't give a work number. I hope that is not a problem for most providers, but I think it will be.
There are two ways to get verified through Date Check.
The first is to go through Date Check's verification process, which involves giving your work info and all kinds of private info.
The other method is to see a provider who is Date Check verified and then have her verify you. Most providers who are Date Check verified will only see hobbyists who are verified, but some will seen newbies. Just look through the profiles of providers in your area. If you see one you like, you look around your local backpage or Eros or whatever and see if she advertises. If she does, contact her as though you're contacting her through that route (since, obviously, she seeks clients that way). If you see her, ask her if she's willing to verify you on Date Check. If she agrees, then you're good to go.
