Advertising is a strange thing. When you see an ad it may jog your memory about that person. Next it tells everyone you are still available! For me I just can not schedule too far out, my life is hectic. I spent last week trying to find someone for the week end.. No luck.. I would search the ads, send a few emails and never hear back.

Even using "new" reviews as a medium is difficult. if you only get a review once in a while, you do not appear regularly at the top of the list. I will not try to contact someone who has not had a review in the last year. Personally I am amazed at the ladies who pay big bucks to advertise on CV. I think TER and sites like TER provide just as good exposure.. Then there are the reviews! Usually a lady who posts on TER has reviews there. "other places" it may be difficult to determine if a lady has a review or not. There is just too much crap out there to take a chance!

The hobby is suppose to be FUN! It takes work to write an ad. Sometimes if an ad is written to provoke a response, you will think different. A smokey hot story of what may happen usually will do the trick. The hobby is fantasy based so write a story about a hot fantasy. An ad like that will also let some of your personality show. A connection is very important as you know and for ladies who do not like email chit chat how else can you let others know what you are like.

PS it takes a flirt to get a flirt!

I have to agree with bobbi on this one.  I used to post ads on here and didn't get much of a response, so I now post ads on the LA board.  Also, I think TER is more influential and active in LA versus OC.   I think sample taster makes some excellent points about advertising especially for the ladies like myself that are fairly new to the board without a ton of reviews.  Creating a fantasy and wetting their appetite, etc. is a good idea.  And BTW, if you e-mail me, you will get a response.  lol  

The "other board" that I think Bond and NOSC is referring to has been a particularly negative experience for me, so much so that I refuse to advertise my services on there anymore.  I've canceled my membership entirely.  I will drive to LA for a $200 massage appointment even though I live in Orange County just to not have to deal with the politics.   And guys sending me pms asking me what's on my menu as if the are going to Kentucky Fried Chicken to pick up a full meal deal makes me cringe.  Talk about low class.  I'll stick with my TER, thank you.

I am a provider webmaster and what I am hearing from the girls is that TER has been unfair to them --- well, that would be the reviewers. This economy has made a few of their clients turn against them because of pricing vs service -- in otherwords they are using TER as a weapon to bring down the price. Sounds like EBay, huh? Anyways -- they are opting to stay away from TER also.

The tide is changing in the Orange County.  Hobbyists and providers are disgruntled about the "other board" here.  Instead of having fun this other board has been playing politics. So by next summer if you have a M&G in Orange county, you will have a lot more turn out than than previous times.  Just my 2 cents.

I just, do not like expences with flakes.  If I get a hotel room it costs $2-300, so if I have pre-booked appointments who do not show, then I am out the time & $ honey.  I think many ladies are having regulars who say I want to see you today & they spring $100, or more for a room only to hear that they guy got caught up at work sorry that sucks!
