Assume I go once a month to well reviewed providers who apparently work alot.
What are the chances of contracting an STD from BBBJCIM? Low? Moderate? of High?
What are the chances of contracting an std from DATY? Low? Moderate? High?
3 days after seeing my first such provider engaging in both activities, I developed a very bad sore throat that lasted for a few days. No other symptoms of any kind but after reseaching STD web sites and discovering that a sore throat is a possible symptom for many STDs,I was concerned and was tested. Everything was negative Thank God.
I realize there are lots of variables and I know it is possbile from either activity, but I'm trying to get a handle on the relative risks. Help! Am I playing a game of STD Russian Roulette with these hobbying activities? Have veterans been engaging in these hobbying activities for years with relative safety?

Thanks, I did and could not find anything helpful. Checking the CDC sites is no help becasue all they say is you can contract the STDS from such activities. None of them state anyting like" "yes,but unlikely" or Yes, very likely", etc.
Paranoia is an occupational risk of the hobby. We worry that and stupid common occurance might be an STD or ??? I got itchy red body spots, turns out from a med I've been taking for 20 months...
Just remember to keep your cool!
A true story:
One night a friend was out hobbying. Meanwhile, the wife came home, thought she heard a prowler... actually she DID! The cops came, but found no one so they left. She heard the noise again, so got out & loaded Dear Husbands 45 Colt Auto. When said DH returned home, was met at the door by Wifee 45 in hand. The first thought through his mind was "Who Told!" It was so vivid, he could not be sure if he'd only thought it, or if he'd blurted it out. Fortunately for him, no bullets came out of the muzzle. Wifee had been taught well, gun was loaded with a round in the chamber & safety on!
The next day, in daylight Husband found a shed broken into & some tools gone.
