Tips for Searching for Provider Reviews and Profiles

Here are several tips that may help make your search efforts for existing profiles pay off with better results:

1.  For starters, always set the "exclude bad websites:" field to ~NO~.  This will return all matching profiles, regardless of the condition of the web site link on the profile.

2.  When searching on "provider's phone number:", enter just the last seven digits, and leave both the area code and city fields blank.  If any profiles exist in the database with the phone number, this approach will find it -- regardless of any data entry errors in the city or area code fields submitted by previous reviewers.

3.  When searching on "provider's name:", first try searching on just the name, and leave both the city and area code fields blank.  If this returns a large number of responses, then start adding in additional filters, one at a time.  First add "city:", and see if the desired profile appears.  If not, remove the "city:" value and use "area code:".

4. If neither of those name searches work, try using shortened versions of the name ('Jill' instead of 'Jillian'), commonly used nicknames ('Kath' instead of 'Kathy' or 'Katherine'), or alternate spellings (try both 'Kath' and 'Cath').

5.  Lastly, try searching on the "provider's email:" field.  Always use the smallest possible value of the email address, in case the provider has altered her email address or changed email servers.  For example, if the listed email address is [email protected], simply enter 'candy' in the "provider's email:" field.  You should be able to weed through the results fairly quickly to determine whether or not you have a match.

How do I find out my TER ID #

GFE.Celeste2452 reads

I don't think it's a stupid question.  I've spent the last 10-15 minutes clicking on every page and can't find it anywhere.  I've emailed support, and I get a canned response on how to find my feedback (click My Feedback).  I've emailed them 4 times, with 3 different questions, and I ALWAYS get the same response.

Actually quite easy.  Find your own reviews using the steps recommended above.  When the review pops up your TER ID will be right there under your name in the upper left corner.

What if ur a Provider trying 2 verify a Hobbyist?

Glad someone else besides me needs help with this. Did you ladies figure anything out? I think I am going to start using TER more regularly and need help finding, and adding to the "whitelist". You ladies got the 411 on this?

Thanks!

Steps to find a Hobbyist:

Go to 'Reveiws' Tab up top (next to 'My TER' tab)
Click tab and select 'Search' (to the left)
Once selected a drop down menu will appear and from there you can select 'Search Whitelist' or 'Search By Reviewers'
Select and you will see option to input the clients username or email.

Hope this helps!

I made a mistake on my review for Ginger . I wanted to give her a better score on her overall looks . I tried to re-do the review the next day and realize I can't for another six months . Is there any way to do that ? To make the score an 8 or higher

As a Provider, you do not have a Profile ID number (the most common meaning of TER ID) until you have get your first review posted. The first reviewer creates your Profile (Name, phone, email, ad URL, hair color, rates, etc.) when he submits the review. Once the review is approved, your Profile is created and gets a TER Profile ID number.
.
You cannot create your own Profile. You just have to be patient. Read the TER Instruction Manual (locked to the top of the Newbie board). Keep reading the Newbie board and use the search button to search for older posts about "TER ID".
