Thanks guys, good to have a place to go for info.

I am new, and a few I have thought about seeing want my work #, I assume this is to check for LE.  But what do they do??  Call and hang up??  This could be embarassing.  Thanks for the help guys.

Some don't call at all, they just want to know you're willing to give them the information. Others will call just to confirm it is a business, ask for a made up person and either hang up while being transfered or explaing that they must have a wrong number. Others still will call and ask for you, but hang up during the transfer.

If these professionals know anything, it's how to be discrete. Rest assured they're not going to call up and say, "hi, I'm a hooker that drhohio5 is trying to book an appointment with, does he actually work there?"

The providers are gaurding against LE, yes, but also against JERK's (Johns Expecting to Rape or Kill). They figure a gentleman with violent or sinister intent will not give out that bit of information.

Thanks, that puts me at ease.  And I like the quote! LOL

What about when they ask for a local provider reference.  Is there a way around that???

Thanks again.

explain that you don't have a reference and convince them to see you without one. It's always good to get a reference when you can.

This my not be an absolute rule but I've never had an agency ask me for a reference. The most they ever did was ask for a listed phone number. (I've used 5-6 different ones over the years.)

There are only a few ladies around that I would trust with that bit of info. The well established, well reviewed ladies and the ones who post regulary here and have shown a modicum of stabliity.

I am very careful. Maybe that's why I've never been popped. Dunno.
