Many of the women who are our "companions" to expand their business. Please reconsider. I too understand the considerations for wanting to be UTR but I believe that the benefits of reviews to the men and women in the hobby far outweighs.
That being said, I always ask my dates if they would like a review and then respect their preferences.
Since the cost of the VIP membership is relatively cheap, I don't mind paying for it. What's the benefits to post reviews? I can see quite a few potential down sides, but I am not sure about the upside so I am considering to go under the radar in another month or two by not posting anything (reviews or on Discussion Boards) at all. Please educate me why I should post reviews, beside getting additional free membership time.
If you are reading reviews, writing them is giving back to the guys that wrote the ones you read and used in your research. Granted, it's not much, but our reviews help out others make decisions.

,,,ie. the General discussion board or a regional board. It's tempting sometimes to just let'er rip. But often you don't know what you don't know so asking makes sense. Sometimes it's the only way to find out. Thanks for not just lettin'er rip.
I'm not going to sugar coat my post. If TER adm wants to yank this post, fine by me. You've been posting using your alias on a couple of boards for a week. I got along just fine before you joined here, and I'm sure I'll get along just fine, if you decide not to participate.

You and others are welcome to be as mean and nasty as you would like, but I am just asking a question so I can make an informed decision. Are you sure that you want all the lurkers and anyone who says anything that you don't like to leave? What kind of community will TER be like then, if everyone behave the same way? As I said, I am only considering the issue at this time. I am weighing the pluses and the negatives. BTW, how is your post going to encourage me or others to post reviews? Do you or do you not want more people to post reviews? I am sure there's quite a few members who's lurking and never post. By giving me good reasons to post, you would be also giving good reasons for others to post. I am using alias because I would like to stay under the radar. That's part of the reason I feel posting reviews would not help me to accomplish that. Continuation of responding to your post does not help either so I'll stop after this post. Just so you know, the reason that I posted on Discussion Boards is that I have gained knowledge from it so I tried to give back what I can by participating. It's a lot easier just to read and do nothing.

John they are nasty because they are frustrated that what they are doing is not working yet they come here, like robots and preach about the importance of reviews and giving all kinds of info when the fact of the matter is most of what you read here is a wholelotta BS! Go with your gut and steer clear of these people.

YOYO what an ass you are. most of what you can read here is posted in a helpfull fashion. some of course is bull shit but most is not. If we do not post reviews this sight is not worth a free membership. yes there are those that take advantage of the stupid review reviewers and make shit up but it is not as ramped as some of you think. My .02
i appreciate the reviews i read. kinda lets me know what is out there. there are a few girls in my area that i would like to see, but i cannot find a review for them. i have only written one review and will write another soon, b/c of my encounter last night. i TOFTT, and i wish i didn't. worse time of my life. i feel it helps the next person out.
i love writing reviews..i do it because i enjoy it..like swim says it will help the next guy make his decision..free days are a bonus..i have no idea how many i have and never look..it is ter-s way of thanking you for taking the time to write one..if no one ever took the time to write down what they experienced..our libraries would be empty..
Yes, I agree with you on the empty library part. I'll probably post reviews, good or bad, that I feel might be important to someone else. Although I don't enjoy writing reviews, I have written as many reviews as I had experienced them. It's fairly factual so it's probably not very entertaining.
for the first time ever I checked my free days and I have nearly 500. But the main reason I do it is because I actually enjoy writing reviews and do want to give back. Your concerns about being UTR are valid ones, but you can do that by reviewing under an alias.
Alias gives you some protection, for reviews or posts, but it's not complete. Unintentionally, I have already given away too much information since I joined TER. It's like paper trial. Everything can potential help someone to track you down. When you have too much to lose and can't afford to lose it all, you need to be extremely careful of what you do. I also like to give back, but not at the risk of self preservation.

Thank you for presenting a well thought out point of view. I am not sure the benefit of review outweight the benefit of UTR (I think that depends on each individual), but I think there's lots of room between reviewing every encounter and selective reviewing. Unless there's additional insight into the provider, I don't see the benefit of adding one more review for a provider who has over 50 raving reviews. BTW, that's just an example. On the other hand, doing 50 reviews in one year would be calling too much attention to oneself. A simple math calculation can be made to determine how much you spent for that year. Who's to say there's no criminal elements lurking around here?
I think there's quite a few reviewers who's doing reviews to get free membership so my guess is they will do 8 to 12 reviews a year; therefore, I think doing 6 carefully done reviews a year will accomplish the goal of staying UTR. I am just putting this out there for anyone who might have the same concern as I.

Reviews are important to the entire community, both hobbyists and providers - if you had a great time and write a review giving high ratings, that review becomes very valuable to the provider.
If you had a poor/average time and write a truthful, honest review, that review becomes very valuable to your fellow hobbyists. All in all, you're helping to build and strengthen the very community that you are a part of.
I agree with your point. If we draw the logical conclusion then TER will become a useless site when nobody writes reviews anymore.
For all those who do not write reviews, you should try to imagine that one day when you log into TER and see no new review ever. Is that what you like to see? Where are you going to obtain the helpful information then?
Time to shut up and go UTR.
