Ok. So let me start off by saying that I'm a nervous newbie to the hobby. I've come in contact with a few providers via email but have never gotten past that point for several reasons. One being that I am afraid of the background check. I recently got laid off because of this finacial crisis we are in... I'm from NY and they are getting hit pretty bad.
I know the background checks are important but how can I get verified if I can not provide a office number? I can't get started if no one will give me a chance.
So I thought I'd try out an agency place like Jewels of New York. Now I heard they have a 2 call process. What is that exactly, what is a 2 call process? Would I have better luck at a place like this? And I also heard they make you drop your pants right when you walk in. Do they do that to you in front of everyone in the place? I mean I dont think I wanna flash everyone there. Just the girl I choose to spend my time with.
I think that most providers would be understanding about that, especially with today's economy. What you should do is have them call your previous employer as if they are doing a reference check on you for a new job. That way it all seems very natural.
The two call system works this way:
You set up an appointment with a provider, only she does not give you an exact address. Rather she has you drive to a nearby area, often where she can see your car from her window in order to confirm that you are really there. Then she gives you the exact address when you call from there on your cell phone.
This prevents no call/no show situations and also exposes LE situations.
There are some decent ones out there, but there are alot of beautiful women that do their own check and balances here that see newbies.
