Two places at once? Good way to describe 69.

A simple question: How do providers on tour decide what cities to visit?  What factors do you consider?  For example, maybe you consider whether or not there is a ad board on TER?  Or maybe you focus on cities that you would like to visit?  Maybe you stay away from the east coast during winter?  And what are your favorite cities and worst?

Unfortunately that's not usually a good indicator of how successful you will be in a particular place.  I don't really tour now but would likely go back to Long Island (because I used to live there and had regulars) and some major cities on the way like DC.  There are ways of finding out whether a city will be good or not based on other provider's experiences.  Some take demographics into account which I think is a good idea.  Some go to places that are not popular at all (Montana, Wyoming, Alaska) and do well since there are so few providers.

My favorite place (for work) would have to be Long Island while my least favorite would probably be Las Vegas.

I think I can guess (some of) the reasons for this, but would you mind sharing some insight here?  (Not LI, but why NOT Vegas...)

Have a great day either way! :)

The market is too saturated and people are generally on their worst behavior while there.

All the post in DC board and now in the newbie?! Hummm

Usually based on which cities I would like to discover/find interesting, + where I have my regulars.
Used to be in LA, now discovering the East Coast
