If you do pay for VIP, you'll be able to read every review on the site. If you drop paying for it after you get on the limited provider VIP, you'll just be able to read your own.

I remember that live art thing where the woman had a group of people and said do whatever you want, no consequences or whatever. What was her name?

Grateful Newbie Provider in Canada Screening/Advertising Question:

Thanks in advance to those kind souls willing to take some time out of your busy day to give me advice.

I have spent countless hours on this site and others trying to figure out how I can get my start while at the same time being safe.

Now, I am a total newbie in Canada.

I've noticed that to have access to certain screening and advertising options, I would have had to be screened, or recommended by clients.  Since I am so new, I do not have anyone to recommend me.

My plan at this point is to build a website and pay for advertising on eros since I believe they do not require me to have reviews in order to advertise there.

Then, as someone suggested on here, I will introduce myself on the Toronto board and start posting on it to get my name out there.  I will also post pics on the daily photo board, to let people know who I am.

Can someone please tell me (1) where I should advertise and (2) how best to screen my clients ...particularly since I have no reviews.

I am very interested in screening to know who I am letting into my space as I plan to start by only offering incalls with "gentle"men so that I can be as safe as possible.

Also, any advice on how to avoid other newbie mistakes would be awesome.  A friend in the business eluded to there being people who target newbies.  How do I keep this target off my back?

Thanks again.

Not much time ... one point only.

This might refer to the fact that some guys will pressure a newbie to do things with "But everybody does it." or "If you don't do that, I'll have to write a bad review." Without being specific, "it" can be anything that you do not want to do: BBBJ, anal, BBFS, a sharp stick poked in your eye, BDSM, ...
.
Set your boundaries, perhaps make things clear in your ads or email before a meeting. Don't be pressured or worry about a "bad review" at the expense of your personal safety or comfort.
.
Maybe be prepared with a few comebacks to "Everybody does it."  'I may be new but I'm not an idiot.' "Check TER. Everybody does it." 'I DID check TER and everybody does NOT do it!" And so on.
.
Other advice: PAY for VIP month-by-month (~$30 per month by anonymous Gift Card) to have PM until you get a review and qualify for free limited VIP with free PM.

Thanks a lot, impposter.

"a sharp stick poked in your eye" ... pretty funny, and sadly true.  There was an artist that did a live exhibit where she allowed people to do with her body as they chose while she stood in a public area and things got ugly and violent...right there in front of everyone.  It just goes to show the need for personal boundaries.

I don't think I will have access to the actual TER reviews until I've met the criteria of reviews so that makes "what everyone is doing" clear as mud (hence my concerns).  Do you know of any other places I could go for a clear understanding of what is actually being done?

I didn't realize that I could PAY for VIP month-by-month to have PM until I get a review and qualify for free limited VIP with free PM.  I am definitely doing that now.

I appreciate your time and thoughtfulness in responding.

Not my thing, but it might be your thing. Who am I to judge? :-)

Much relevant discussion will come on the Newbie board from other newbies: "I met my first client and he said, "Everybody does it." I didn't know what to do so I (did / didn't) go along. What should I have done or said?"  A bunch of loud mouth responders like me will have chimed in with our advice.

With FULL (paid) VIP, you can read all reviews and all Juicy details. With free limited VIP you can read all GENERAL details but only your own Juicy Details.  I don't think Juicy Details will help with the "Everyone does it." guys except by specific examples. "I read 20 reviews and NOBODY does that." "You read the wrong 20 reviews."

Good idea to have full VIP until you get some reviews and free VIP kicks in. Buy a GC for cash at a brick and  mortar store (CVS, Walmart, Target ...) and use that to pay for VIP at the going rate.  It varies by the card redemption prices. Feel free to PM me or others once you have paid VIP or even just post your next Q and mention that "I have paid VIP so I can PM now."

Good luck! Have fun! Be safe!

Having a mentor is probably the best way to get into this.   Many gals I know started that way.

If not, read all you can about it.  TER's guide on this page is as good a place to start as any, but there are more.  Search the net for info.

Screening methods are not generally discussed on here for security reason.  LE can and does read these boards and the less they know the better.  But do be sure to screen.  Your safety has to always be your top priority.

Thanks for your response, mrfisher.

I do not have any friends who are escorts.  A mentor would be great, but I wonder what the motivation would be for someone to agree in mentoring me and the best way to go about finding one.

Do you know how those gals first established those mentoring relationships?

I appreciate you looking out for me!

Best wishes!

get another provider to vouch for you , I strongly recommend you join P411.
The combination of TER and P411 is the only way to go in my opinion.
Try to contact Gina at P411 directly to see what You can do to get a profile there.

Thanks for your response, TennGambler.

The trick is getting this first review or provider to vouch for me!

I strongly agree that, based on my numerous hours of studying this site, the combination of TER and P411 is the only way.  Great advice!

I will definitely contact Gina at P411 directly to see what I can do to get a profile there.  I'm assuming she can be reached by using their "contact" info.

Thanks again, your advice is very much appreciated.

a thread you are allowed to add a link to your website and/or ad. This is one of the topics covered on the Self-Help Manual. Also, you can post an ad once every 7 days on your local regional ad board. This is a great way to attract attention of TER hobbyists; one of which will write that first review.

Lastly, as has already been said, determine your boundaries and stick to them. Unfortunately, some hobbyists will try to take advantage of a new provider. "No" means "no".

Good luck.

However, have you seen how dead the Toronto board is ? The number one poster on the Toronto board has 2 posts. Page one of the board goes back to November 2016

Thanks for weighing in, hiddenhills.

With that in mind, is there anywhere else you would recommend I advertise for Toronto?

In addition to the opportunities on this site, I checked the Toronto BP and concluded that Eros would be the better route.  Was I too quick to judge?

Any advice on other advertising vehicles of the Eros quality would be appreciated!  Also, if anyone can share some positive BP experiences that would be great too as I am concerned that I may have dismissed it too soon.

Thanks again!

The Toronto AD board seems to be more active than the Discussion board. The number of "reads" isn't like you see on the NY or LA boards, but it's active and fairly up to date.
.
Read the rules for posting ads to the Ad Board ... or wait for someone else to chime in and correct me. You can post an Ad every seven days. But I think you have to have an active LINK (URL) of some sort, i.e., a Profile Link (you are new and don't have one yet) or an Ad link: personal web page, Eros ad link, BP link, CV link ... anything like that as long as it is an active link to you and your contact info.
.
You can post a photo to your Ad board ad. You can post photos to the Photo Only board. You can not post personal photos to any other boards, except under special circumstances (e.g., when Admin announces a holiday photo opportunity for that board, e.g., Halloween costumes).

Thanks, Gillian Rose.

I will definitely take you up on your offer to mentor!  I really appreciate it.

I tried the link to your website and got an error message.

What is the best way for us to communicate?

Thanks a lot for the advice, keystonekid!

I will definitely take your advice and add a link to my website, as well as, posting an ad once every 7 days on my local regional ad board to attract the attention of TER hobbyists; (hopefully) one of which will write that first review.

I appreciate you encouraging strict boundaries.  It sounds like this is an ongoing and important part of the exchange.

Thanks again for the great advice.

I spend hours just online and on here. Being we can't verify is very scary but I have no choice to do it. I have great reviews just not one here. I have one invite on pr11 but I need a MAN to review me and he has to have 5 vouches I been working my tush off lol for about 7 now to become a member  like a real member it gets so discouraging that u want to cry even for me because I feel invisible on here since my comments don't even show after 2 months I was told sigh
To the new girl I am happy to mentor and be a friend because I had that issue and self taught and it was scary lonely and hard. I am happy to do it with wanting nothing in RETURN.  Love gillian
