Re: FWIW, reports of STDs from well regarded providers are rare....

Just wondering if there's a good chance of getting an STD, even if I use a rubber with her. I've been with a few providers, the first one a streetwalker, so I went a couple months ago, and came up good, but I just don't know how common it is... and my wife and I have the same doc, so I don't know if he's gonna tell her about me getting tested, or suggest she get tested because I do or something. Or maybe I should go somewhere else?

I don't know. I've been really excited to be doing this, because it's made me feel good again, I just don't want to take anything home I guess. Is getting an STD just part of what goes on?

due to patient doctor confidentality.  He can't tell her.  How to prove the doctor broke the code of ethnics?  that's different.

Word of advice?  See a different doctor at a STD clinic.  Problem 1 solved.

If you have marriage problems you should have that addressed.

Anyway what I wanted to share really is an excellent website to post free questions to doctors.  Avvo.com

But from what I've read, skip the streetwalkers completely, go for the escorts and just put a glove on.  Looks like getting an STD is pretty minimal.  I'm not worried about the providers at all.  I'm worried of the other people she might have seen who do not get tested regulary.

I civie dated a long time ago, and got 3 STD in the course of as many years..

On the other hand, I've been with over 200 providers over the last 35 years of hobbying, and not once have I gotten an STD.

That has to tell you something.

Depending on your jurisdiction, most STDs are considered "reportable conditions." Any diagnosis or positive lab test must be reported to public health authorities. Further, there may be a requirement to notify all known sexual partners. Each state and locale has different rules, but this is the typical situation.

Right, I know that there's the "confidentiality" but then I know he's also asked me "is she treating her eczema like I prescribed" and stuff like that, so I don't really see that.

I'll just stop off at Planned Parenthood and get tested. The other hobbyists who don't get tested is my concern, too. I figure that if she's got a job having sex getting tested on the regular is in her best interest.

Any discussion of your private MD visit is strictly covered by HIPPA laws, but for your peace of mind go see the red door clinic and call it a day.
