No one using their real name in pay to play business.

In the context of the OP's query, there are two "fake names" you are allowed on TER.

One is your "real fake name" the handle your reviews and/or Whitelists are linked to, and then under present TER rules you are allowed one other name that you can use either to post or to review under. There are many legitimate reasons to use an alias, and that list has already been linked above. Many times however an alias is used by someone too cowardly to either call someone else out or to comment on a controversial matter under their "real fake name"

Kiss off.Stop worrying anbout me.Hookers and clients used fake names in pay to play business. No one used real names in illegal business.

No one is worried about you, Fancy.  We're worried about Newbies who might get themselves into a world of shit because you gave them dumb or incoherent advice.  Now shut up.

If fancy just stopped posting her nonsense dribble here? Or if TER just blocked her, or allowed me true mod powers on this board?
In the meantime all we can do is keep correcting her and telling the newbies to ignore her. Not the most productive way of dealing with the situation, but it's what we have for now. Carry on.

A TER "handle" CAN have reviews and / or white lists associated with it.  A handle may not have any of those under it. An alias (that "other fake name") can also have reviews and, I'm pretty sure, white lists associated with it.  It may have neither. You can post under your handle and / or your alias.  But you can't post with both in the same thread.

With an alias, it's not a matter of being able to use it to EITHER post OR review under.  You can do both, or neither, with an alias.

I know of cases where a member reviews under both his handle and his alias, and posts with both.  I put my reviews and white lists only under my handle, but I use both my handle and alias for posting.

1) You only get 1 alias.  I requested a separate alias for ISO postings.  I wanted two aliases: an alias to say whatever I want without fear of retribution and an alias to experiment/get laid.  TER declined and told me that I only get 1 alias.
2) You can change an alias after 3 months - or something like that.

TER should provide a second alias for a fee.  They could probably make some more money.

TER had that feature years ago. From what I saw it just led to more abuse. One alias is enough.
